Yeah, i hate that in low levels there are always some really overleved phantoms. And some of them are just straight up cheating. I know it is not technically cheating but some hosts summon two overleved phantoms to taunter tongue and for me it is the same as cheating
Ironic to accuse them of being over-levelled while Chase LITERALLY has a endgame AoW, Hoarah Louxs Earthshaker. At Level 60. Way beyond their place. Not to mention that everyone is brought down to the hosts level if over-levelled.

And my guy, some of the hosts he invaded are literally using AOW’s from the consecrated snowfields or mountaintops of the giants. You can drop AOW’s for other people, having them early does not matter, it’s not a serious advantage. Especially because earthshaker is more meme than useful attack, anyone decent at pvp would know to I-frame the first explosion and punish the second with a jumping heavy.

The jump over person, and roll into backstab combo was ridiculously smooth. Man I love this game. And with so many variable AOW it becomes so good for pvp like this. Strength builds have always and will always be the counter-meta in every souls game. And Chase you make it look good.
Hey Chase, for future reference: if you roll in the rot it'll continue to build up, which is what you saw when fighting the host at 9:00. That mat of bones is actually safe to stand on.
I recommend that everyone try to beat the game at RL 50 with a +10/+4 max weapon, create a save state, and play around with different builds at different levels. I've been saying since release that low level should be the PvP meta because damage is so much more balanced. So far RL 70 with +14/+6 is my favorite and the builds are so much fun and require far more creativity to be powerful
but then the lower level you are, the more of a problem over leveled phantoms become, so its a no win situation. my least favourite weapon is that 1 that fires a red lightning bolt, because when laggy players use it, they just skip the whole animation so i cant even dodge it
i use 55 and +10 (+4) and take 5 minutes at 3am (est) to find a match. also so much fun. high investment gear actually has a investment, since it means less vigor. plus there isn't a "meta" which means more creative builds
For anyone watching this wanting to learn, know that you'll go through 30-40 invasions before you get the hang of it and can pull off invasions close to this. I started out like gandorf and ended up like him 1v4 and killing all 4 of them. The only way to learn is to pick up some good weapons and weapon arts and go for it. The most important part is honestly spacing because unlike in duels a single combo can rinse you. My invasions went from 20 seconds to up to 3 minutes. And yes, you can kill overleveled phantoms unless they are using that sleep duel wield poise build. That's when you fake fight the summon and go for the host lmfao.
The fact he obliterated 3 players singlehandedly more than one invasion while switching weapons mid fight multiple times for the fun of it makes him a walking boss

That's what I've been doing in DS3 for ages, going SL60/+6WL lets me invade in every mid to lategame area from the Catacombs, Demon Ruins, Irythil + Dungeon, Profaned Capital, Lothric Castle, Grand Archives and even Ariandel.
Best luck I've had besides my lvl 1+0(0) for invasions on Xbox, is lvl 25 +3(1), lvl 50 +10(4), and lvl 75 and lvl 100 with +19(7). If you're always looking to maximize invasion ranges for weapons, there's no point going past +19(7) since you'll reduce the pool. At +19 you can invade +14-25 including +10 special weapons. At special weapon +7, you can invade +12-22, but if you upgrade to +8, you can only invade +15-25, reducing the level pool by one, so it's best to keep your upgrades for your twinks at +19(7).
Chase, about the showcases - someone handed my butt to me using a shortbow build. Not sure how they did it - prob sleep arrows and relevant talismans, but start branching out! Do some spells/incarnations - something else! You’re very good at swinging swords but branch out!

Same happened to me. An invader got up to me and started spamming sleep arrows with barrage, once I was out switched to bleed arrows then bled me. I was in a narrow corridor and couldn't roll out of the arrows so it just perma-stunned me. It happened so fast, I wasn't sure what was going on till it was over. One of my favorite ways to have died to an invader so far in ER.
Man makes sl60 look classy, I've tried like a strength faith hybrid build around the same level and I've not done it well, I hit like a truck if I can get the jump on a opponent but once they are both on me, it gets messy. Gotta throw myself into more fights to improve though I suppose. Gonna rinse over these for ancient Chad knowledge to steal for myself.
I completely underestimated how fun lower level PVP is in this game.. I just recently started a new char and I'm about level 50 with a +9/+6 weapon. Was showing an Irl buddy the game and did a quick invasion (I never pvp lol). Ended up dropping the host mid 1v2 genk and it felt so good lmao. Especially considering the guys summon was clearly high level with madness spells/weapons lol.

You don't actually get Scarlet Rot standing on the bit at 9:00 I don't believe. I wanna say you or Lost have said the same thing a couple times about this exact spot and every time I've heard it it's actually because you previously rolled through the Scarlet Rot lake and when you roll through it, it keep building up on you for a little bit even after you leave the Rot. Since you now have it all over your body it take a hit to get it off of you and stop the buildup
What level do you put weapons for lvl 60 invasions? I really wanna start another character but dont wanna make him too ateong nor too weak. Is there a perfect sweet spot for invasions?
I think I invaded the precipice guy too (though im not positive and may just be mixing up the stream with my invasions) and also the heinz guy. Except the heinz team killed me at the tree and emoted on me

I feel the same way. I was excited about the update. I tried it for a couple of hours and gave up when every invasion was a 3 man gank and spank. Always with the big 3. Madness, Magic, and Bleed
Notice how much Chase runs around, often unable to even attempt a swing for a minute or two. Often takes more patience than skill, as he himself says. Just have to let the spammers drain their FP. This is one huge reason I prefer DS3 PVP. Easier & quicker to have fun. And no 2 min disconnect,

You can just summon people in and have them drop it for you. I suppose you could play the game just staying at level 60, but I doubt most people do that lol
It's not hard to beat the game at those levels, just use bleed. I beat the game at lvl 50 and I don't consider myself particularly great at the game. It gives you the option of making any PvP build you want though. Just make a save state

It takes skill to go 3 v 1. But it shocks me how many people just attack wildly because they think they have the advantage in 3 v 1. Wrong. You have to stay 100% diligent against an invader and don’t wildly waste your stamina.
It's the lightest small shield in the game at 1 weight. Not sure if he forgot Carian Retaliation on it or if he just huge balls to make the standard parry's 5 frame window work consistently for him.

I’ve been thinking about making a new character for low level pvp. I have two characters both at +200 and invasions genuinely are not as fun as duels for the simple fact your usually up against 2-3 people and everybody can one-two shot at that level pretty much.
I tried to take advantage of the free PS+ weekend and try PvP but I couldn't get anything to work. No duel signs showing up, no invasions, nothing. Very disappointing.

I hung around at the Raya Lucaria entrance either with my duel sign down or with the furlcalling finger remedy active and never saw anyone else's sign, but I also tried the taunter's tongue and the recusant finger in several different places, and still nothing.

You can have another player/alt account drop them for you or just try and get through the game at lvl 60. You might be able to mod them in (offline) on PC, but I'd do more research first just to be safe with the anticheat. If you have an item from mountaintops but have never set foot there, you might trip something.
2:55 I knows what happening since patch 1.7 somehow hit boxes are like bumping into each other almost like a magnet effect when two positives or negatives try to touch and it doesn’t make sense I’ve had my giant crusher attacks be completely useless and so no damage because the hit box gets literally flailed into the air and don’t hit where it’s suppose to hit… it would actually be really cool to have this a as a mechanic like a parry but clearly lol this isn’t the case it’s a bug and since 1.7 like I’ve said it feels worse

I’ve been thinking about making a new character for low level pvp. I have two characters both at +200 and invasions genuinely are not as fun as duels for the simple fact your usually up against 2-3 people and everybody can one-two shot at that level pretty much.

I tried to take advantage of the free PS+ weekend and try PvP but I couldn't get anything to work. No duel signs showing up, no invasions, nothing. Very disappointing.
What level were you/how far had you progressed into the game?
@@hobojoe9717 I tried several characters ranging from level 60 to level 140. Each one is about as far through the game as you'd expect for the level.
@@aperson9847 Hmm. Ok this might sound like a stupid question, but you made sure you were playing in online mode, and using the correct items to initiate multiplayer right?
@@hobojoe9717 Yeah, I could see phantoms and bloodstains, and I tried a bunch of different items. I hung around at the Raya Lucaria entrance either with my duel sign down or with the furlcalling finger remedy active and never saw anyone else's sign, but I also tried the taunter's tongue and the recusant finger in several different places, and still nothing.

I know this sounds stupid but im new to souls, How did you get endgame items at lvl 60?
You can have another player/alt account drop them for you or just try and get through the game at lvl 60. You might be able to mod them in (offline) on PC, but I'd do more research first just to be safe with the anticheat. If you have an item from mountaintops but have never set foot there, you might trip something.

2:55 I knows what happening since patch 1.7 somehow hit boxes are like bumping into each other almost like a magnet effect when two positives or negatives try to touch and it doesn’t make sense I’ve had my giant crusher attacks be completely useless and so no damage because the hit box gets literally flailed into the air and don’t hit where it’s suppose to hit… it would actually be really cool to have this a as a mechanic like a parry but clearly lol this isn’t the case it’s a bug and since 1.7 like I’ve said it feels worse
It sounds like level 60 or something is the low damage PvP some people are hoping for. No need to lower damage overall when the level can be lowered. 💞
