  • Wire wrap an amethyst gemstone and copper bracelet with me and ‪@tejasbeads‬ @artisticwirebrand ‪@beadalon‬
    You will need:
10 mm spiral amethyst stone from @tejasbeads
18 gauge copper wire and 22 gauge copper wire from @artisticwirebrand @beadalon
wire wrap amethyst stones onto 22 gauge copper wire with a loop at each end.
using a wood dowel from @beadalon size 9.6 mm round from wood mandrel set ( available for sale in my shop)
Cut about 4 inches of 18 gauge wire. Form 18 gauge copper wire around wood dowel in a round loop and then turn over copper piece and reform around wood dowel around for a second Loop for an S shape. Each curve should be going the opposite direction. Using round nose pliers,
coil the center of the S shape wire loop into the middle of the piece.
    Hammer for texture
to antique metal add patina, I am using liver of sulfur. Polish with cloth.
when you’ve reached desired length add lobster clasp.
Feel free to message me with any questions.😄💜

Thank you for another great design! Can you reuse the solution another day if you store it in a mason jar with lid? And when you are finished using the liver of sulfur, you just dilute it with more water, baking soda and Dawn, then pour down the drain…..or ? I have the same type of liver of sulfur that you use. Thanks Andria! ❤

You cannot use it again. You don’t want to let it sit. Once you’re done using it you want to delete it with everything recommended on the bottle of the brand that you were using and whatever they suggest for cleaning up with.

You can use museum, wax, preservation wax- it is sold at rio grande jewelry supplies. And it depends on what brand of liver of sulfur that you were using to dispose of. The one I’m using you have to use baking soda to neutralize it and extra water along with dish detergent. But I highly recommend if you’re going to use it you have to read instructions on the bottle of the brand that you’re using.

Great bracelet! I looked up Museum wax and there are several different options, which do you recommend? TIA

I use renaissance wax. It’s in a white and silver container. I got it from Rio grande supplies.
