    Been wearing Original Swat since about 2000. Regular use as general footwear. Marijuana grows in national forests. Mud. Streams. Freetime hiking, etc... Have Coyote, brown and black. Excellent boots, and have not been able to destroy them. Have several pairs that are rough, but still servicable

    These are great. The first pair I had I wore almost everyday for 5 years, I only got a new pair because the bottoms were basically flat.

    I've had a pair for a couple of years, used for hunting. I've walked a lot of km's in these boots and they have been comfy and held up exceptionally well. The only damage has been the lining at the heel has worn through - but the boots are still fine to use with good socks. I put another 10km on them just last night.

    great video. I bought a pair of Chase 9in side zips about six months ago. Unfortunately i was often lazy and didnt make sure sure they were zipped all the way down and the zipper broke when i tried shoving my foot in. I still loved them Ill be ordering these classics tonight

    I love these boots! I've worn these on two deployments, way better than issued boots. 100% would recommend these. By the way I've had the inside zip ups and the lace ups, no doubt the lace ups are the way to go. Just my 2cents. Semper fi

    in Canada a lot of infantry units issued those for deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait and the troops like them because of the breathability and light weight I have used them in the field and there in the top 3 for boots I have used only downside to them is if you get them dirty there hard to clean

    I bought a pair with the side zips. Great boots! Only problem is that they look a little "sausage" like and are a bit too wide. Thinking about getting a pair of the Chase series. They look a little slimmer.

    Hi Keith, great review...if I may ask a coupla quick question...A) Do you still have these?
    B) Do your boots have loose threads taped together once you take out the insole?
    look forward to your reply. Thanks. Cheers!

    • @futhermucker1
      @futhermucker1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I still have these and still wear them. I will be getting a new pair next month. These boots lasted longer than I had expected. The first thing I do when I get any new pair of boots or shoes is replace the insoles. The lose threads on the on the inside under the insole is normal and nothing to worry about. It's the total thread length from the sole to the machine head during production. it's cut automatically. If you count how much production time it would take to recut it shorter by hand, the price would go up. It's just a "tag" line. Hope this helped.

      Thanks for clearing that up, Keith. I have a pair of sage 1150 classic nines. When I first saw the threads I was a tad miffed, being from a third world country we often don't get the best of stuff..but you cleared that up and now the sun shines again in all its glory. I too use mine for motorcycling. Just want to add that your point about zippers is totally valid...zippers are not simple and simple's good. simple works. I have never gone for and will never wear any boot will zippers on them I bought my pair a fortnight ago.I like these boots and thank you for helping me make up my mind. Been using them ten twelve hours daily in 40 C temp and they are holding up just fine. why don't you do another review of the same boots that you have been using...let's see what those puppies look like after all this time...thanks gain, love the stuff you put out...I'm gonna get me a shemag next :D
      # sorry for the long post

      Good craftsmanship...could be better though...the little strip of superfabric or whatever that runs down the back of the boot on the inside has worn off on my left boot in two months
