Your dad sounds like he was a good man. Thank you for sharing some of your history with us! I know this whole BTS thing is kind of out of the blue for some people, and the power of ARMY comes strong, but there is a genuine sense of authenticity that radiates from BTS. Even if someone doesn't like the music I really believe the majority of this fandom is pure and provides a passionate space for open dialogue and self improvement. People like your father made/make intentionally choices daily to go beyond themselves and work towards creating a better future. That's one thing that pulled me into BTS in the first place - they ask questions and tell stories that spark something within the listener. Whether it be related to societal issues, introspection, self development, depression, hope, fears, or love. They inspire us to chose. To see the truth within and use that to bring positive change. Even if that is just within ourselves. Even without the music their message is strong. The fact that they have changed my life dramatically - a random Texan in their 30s - is a testament to that. That's what legends do, I guess. So enjoy this journey you're on. The youtube stuff is cool and everything but I hope you're really able to hear what they are saying and use it to become more authentically you and create love wherever you go. The Korean culture is more about your background where you come from, who's representing you, etc. Since they came from a poor, small company BTS had to work extra jobs to earn money to keep making videos and using whatever resources they had. But Hitman Bang believed in them, and together they have made BigHit a miracle. It is now officially listed as a unicorn company a company that started off small but is now worth more than 1 billion. You see BigHit had no way to compete with the media power and wealth of the big 3...YG, SM and JYP. So BTS was encouraged to use social media to reach fans not only in Korea but all over the world. Local TV shows would not have them on or would cut their performances short or treat them rudely. So they made their own show 'RunBTS' for their fans. Their fans truly have helped them soar, and they have worked hard in return for their fans. They truly are remarkable. Their honest lyrics, the truths they speak, the caring and concern they have for youth and the charity work they do all show how genuine they are. They are good people, and I am proud to be ARMY. I am an ARMY mom and 45 years old and I love and support these young men and wish them all the best. Thank you for this reaction. I wish you guys all the best as well. So true. I am 48 and have nieces that have listened to Kpop since before BTS came out who would show me different groups when they came to visit. My mom even listens to Kpop and she is 68 and told me to listen to certain songs after I ran across BTS this past May on TH-cam. Their lyrics are so heartfelt I can hear Butterfly in my mind right now. They are great and bring back what is missing from a lot of today's music in my opinion. One of my niece's did remind me that she showed my Mic Drop when it first came out. I liked it but I forgot about them until I ran across Dionysus and asked her who BTS was and why they hadn't told me about them. I have been a fan of them and Kpop ever since then.

The ARMY is a community-YES, Naomi! We are joined by our love for BTS and it spills over to love for other ARMY and our communities. I was blessed to attend both nights in Chicago Soldier Field last May. The stadium was filled with people from every age group, ethnicity, race and income level. I have never felt like I was part of a global community like that. The ARMY is so glad to have you join us!

I really like your reactions to BTS. I think it’s time that you watch something funny from them so you could see how close they are and how hysterical they are together watch one of their try not to laugh videos of all their funny moments. They’re not top social artist for nothing. They have a show called run BTS that has like 80 episodes already and the staff brings them to places and they compete against each other usually where they play games and they don’t know about it until the show of what’s going to happen. They’re all over social media doing everything so one of the try not to laugh that people make up or pretty great
Tbh the Try not to laugh videos are not really something new fans can understand. We find the scenes funny because we know the context, know the show it belongs to, but they usually don't get the jokes without background knowledge. Just like the House of Army video. New fans can watch it, sure, but they won't understand the inside jokes that make it hilarious.

BTS+ARMY=Family.💜 The support and love given and returned both ways is so mind blowing and humbling at the same time. To be a part of the ARMY has felt like an honor from the beginning. As we've given wings to their dreams they helped us find our own voices. They have showed us how to love ourselves and one another. There are so many ARMY projects done around the globe in honor of BTS. They themselves give to charities all the time. For each member's birthdays ARMYs come together and celebrate them by paying it forward. For RM's birthday recently there was a small forest planted in his name. The ARMY get a lot of flack because we are very protective when it comes to BTS. In truth there are a few extreme fans that are a bit out there, but that is true for any fandom. But regardless of them the ARMY are the sweetest, genuine and caring people. Even at the concerts ARMYs come early to meet each other. We dance, sing and give gifts to each other in honor of our beautiful BTS. RM, Jin, Suga, Jhope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are and always will be known in history as OT7(one true seven) because they actually are genuine and humble with each other and ARMY. 💜💜💜🤟💜💜💜

I’m glad you guys are apart of ARMY. I’m a 33 year old ARMY member myself. I just found them this past March before their newest album dropped. Being apart of this community is amazing. Not anywhere else have I seen a group that has such deep meaning in their songs nor so active with their fans. All fans are treated with such respect. Plus their message is usually something I need to hear when I hear it.
I've seen the other Nobodies to Legends so many times that it was nice to see a different one. This one focuses more on there struggles than success and makes me love them more. On 2019 BTS went to the Grammy's, won BB social artist for the third time and best group, held a sold out stadium tour in the US and Europe.
where BTS won artist of the year MAMA for the second year in the row, they just finished an amazing performance then got call for the award that was why they were all sweaty and disheveled..when u got a chance u should do their performances at the awards.. simply amazing. BTS's fan on Tweeter now is 22 millions followers from 2000 when they checked at the beginning of the video..so glad u watched this to understand their music more and understand who they are and why we love them so..they are still the same now as before, still humble, respectful and more.. they just sold-out all the stadiums few months ago, Metlife, Soldier fields, Rose bowl, Wembley stadium and few more all sold out less than 2 hours..

My daughter kept talking about BTS when she was 13 (now 15), and I thought it was just another boyband phase but when she made me listen to them, I was HOOKED! I am 43 yo and been a fan of BTS since. We have been fortunate enough to see them in concert for 2 yrs in a row now and it is an AMAZING experience!! I've been waiting for this video and i'm glad that you're moved and inspired the way BTS moved and inspired us. I was like this 2 years ago, my cousin recommended to watch their music video which I refused coz I thought I'm too old for that. But she convinced me to atleast search for the english trans of one of their song and I did. Fell down on a rabbit hole and I wouldn't want to get out😅. This video is so heartwarming... they fought a lot for their dreams, endured being cut off of shows and concerts for not being in a big company, not getting invited to shows, media burying their achievements until it recently was discovered... all of that so they wouldn’t reach the top because bigger companies had more power and wanted money... and still they didn’t give up because their passion was bigger. That’s the reason why they’re such an inspiration and why they are where they are.
What hurts the most as a fan is seeing people throw hate at them, discredit their success and call them overhyped, not knowing how hard they’ve had to work or all the hurdles they’ve had to overcome. They still face a lot of xenophobia from various media outlets and radio stations, who refuse to acknowledge their impact, but they will overcome. If there’s anyone who deserves success it’s them 🙏🏾
MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) is the biggest award show in Asia. A huge audience and many performances. It takes place over 3 consecutive nights in 3 different countries. Last year BTS performed at both MAMA Japan and MAMA Hong Kong. They performed completely different shows (3 songs) at each venue. End of the year is award show time. You have that to look forward to. Also, they're going to live stream their concert in Saudi Arabia later this month.

He wanted a BBMA, he got three times with a Main Category win, he wanted a Grammy, they all attended the 2018 Grammy (he was vague in that area) love yourself: Tear was nominated. What Yoongi wants, Yoongi gets. Oh, he wanted Fake Love to enter the charts, it entered the BB Hot 200, he wanted BWL to enter the charts as well, it got to #8 on BB Hot 100 We, ARMY, work hard for our boys. Local TV shows would not have them on or would cut their performances short or treat them rudely. So they made their own show 'RunBTS' for their fans. Their fans truly have helped them soar, and they have worked hard in return for their fans. They truly are remarkable. Their honest lyrics, the truths they speak, the caring and concern they have for youth and the charity work they do all show how genuine they are. They are good people, and I am proud to be ARMY. I am an ARMY mom and 45 years old and I love and support these young men and wish them all the best. Thank you for this reaction. I wish you guys all the best as well. So true. I am 48 and have nieces that have listened to Kpop since before BTS came out who would show me different groups when they came to visit. My mom even listens to Kpop and she is 68 and told me to listen to certain songs after I ran across BTS this past May on TH-cam. Their lyrics are so heartfelt I can hear Butterfly in my mind right now. They are great and bring back what is missing from a lot of today's music in my opinion. One of my niece's did remind me that she showed my Mic Drop when it first came out. I liked it but I forgot about them until I ran across Dionysus and asked her who BTS was and why they hadn't told me about them. I have been a fan of them and Kpop ever since then.

I really like your reactions to BTS. I think it’s time that you watch something funny from them so you could see how close they are and how hysterical they are together watch one of their try not to laugh videos of all their funny moments. They’re not top social artist for nothing. They have a show called run BTS that has like 80 episodes already and the staff brings them to places and they compete against each other usually where they play games and they don’t know about it until the show of what’s going to happen. They’re all over social media doing everything so one of the try not to laugh that people make up or pretty great

Tbh the Try not to laugh videos are not really something new fans can understand. We find the scenes funny because we know the context, know the show it belongs to, but they usually don't get the jokes without background knowledge. Just like the House of Army video. New fans can watch it, sure, but they won't understand the inside jokes that make it hilarious.

The support and love given and returned both ways is so mind blowing and humbling at the same time. To be a part of the ARMY has felt like an honor from the beginning. As we've given wings to their dreams they helped us find our own voices. They have showed us how to love ourselves and one another. There are so many ARMY projects done around the globe in honor of BTS. They themselves give to charities all the time. For each member's birthdays ARMYs come together and celebrate them by paying it forward. For RM's birthday recently there was a small forest planted in his name. The ARMY get a lot of flack because we are very protective when it comes to BTS. In truth there are a few extreme fans that are a bit out there, but that is true for any fandom. But regardless of them the ARMY are the sweetest, genuine and caring people. Even at the concerts ARMYs come early to meet each other. We dance, sing and give gifts to each other in honor of our beautiful BTS. RM, Jin, Suga, Jhope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are and always will be known in history as OT7(one true seven) because they actually are genuine and humble with each other and ARMY.

I’m glad you guys are apart of ARMY. I’m a 33 year old ARMY member myself. I just found them this past March before their newest album dropped. Being apart of this community is amazing. Not anywhere else have I seen a group that has such deep meaning in their songs nor so active with their fans. All fans are treated with such respect. I've seen the other Nobodies to Legends so many times that it was nice to see a different one. This one focuses more on there struggles than success and makes me love them more. On 2019 BTS went to the Grammy's, won BB social artist for the third time and best group, held a sold out stadium tour in the US and Europe.
where BTS won artist of the year MAMA for the second year in the row, they just finished an amazing performance then got call for the award that was why they were all sweaty and disheveled..when u got a chance u should do their performances at the awards.. simply amazing. BTS's fan on Tweeter now is 22 millions followers from 2000 when they checked at the beginning of the video..so glad u watched this to understand their music more and understand who they are and why we love them so..they are still the same now as before, still humble, respectful and more.. they just sold-out all the stadiums few months ago, Metlife, Soldier fields, Rose bowl, Wembley stadium and few more all sold out less than 2 hours..

We have been fortunate enough to see them in concert for 2 yrs in a row now and it is an AMAZING experience!! I was like this 2 years ago, my cousin recommended to watch their music video which I refused coz I thought I'm too old for that. But she convinced me to atleast search for the english trans of one of their song and I did. Fell down on a rabbit hole and I wouldn't want to get out😅. But seriously, watching them or listening to their music not only motivate people but BTS themselves made us feel that on our lowest times, we are not alone, coz they've been there too. This video is so heartwarming... they fought a lot for their dreams, endured being cut off of shows and concerts for not being in a big company, not getting invited to shows, media burying their achievements until it recently was discovered... all of that so they wouldn’t reach the top because bigger companies had more power and wanted money... and still they didn’t give up because their passion was bigger. That’s the reason why they’re such an inspiration and why they are where they are.

What hurts the most as a fan is seeing people throw hate at them, discredit their success and call them overhyped, not knowing how hard they’ve had to work or all the hurdles they’ve had to overcome. They still face a lot of xenophobia from various media outlets and radio stations, who refuse to acknowledge their impact, but they will overcome. If there’s anyone who deserves success it’s them 🙏🏾

MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) is the biggest award show in Asia. A huge audience and many performances. It takes place over 3 consecutive nights in 3 different countries. Last year BTS performed at both MAMA Japan and MAMA Hong Kong. They performed completely different shows (3 songs) at each venue. End of the year is award show time. You have that to look forward to. Also, they're going to live stream their concert in Saudi Arabia later this month.
