Considering Bei’s sister messed with the brakes almost killing Nan and Nan’s sister tries to light Bei, herself and the warehouse on fire I would keep Chris as far away from them as possible. The fact they didn’t know about him is for his protection I’m sure.
She's not neglecting him...she's effectively hiding him/his true identity as she doesn't want him to be taken away from her if Nan finds out it's his own son..plus protecting him from his evil adopted sister and others..
