As a Leafs fan first and a Flames fan second, I didn’t mind seeing Ottawa take the win in OT yesterday-it was a good battle. That said, I really wish the Flames had held on to beat Boston on Tuesday. Letting a 3-1 lead slip and allowing Pastrnak to score the OT winner was tough to watch. Beating teams like Chicago and San Jose is fine, but if the Flames want to make a real statement, they need to step up against contenders like Boston, Vegas, and other top teams. Hopefully, they can bounce back and show what they’re made of against Vegas on the 29th.
"How do you feel about potentially losing your first round pick due to loser points?" "Hey, I'd rather the boys be competing than be in the basement every season and drafting top 10 over the next 10 years hoping for a Connor McConnor like some of the other Canadian teams"
0:26 What ***I*** saw on that play was that Dennis Wideman was absolutely justified in what he did and he should’ve done it again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, because these GARBAGE referees with their blatantly preferential officiating clearly need to have some sense knocked into them until they learn how to properly and fairly officiate.
They’re the only ones that can do a worse job than Meteorologists on the News and still get to keep their job. Where’s the accountability? How many calls should refs be allowed to miss before they get suspended and fined? There either needs to be accountability by the league, or the Players should start making the refs accountable via The Code.
Andersson will be our Captain after Backs retires. Let’s trade away our next captain and then after Backs retires we’ll just go back to the Sutter years of not having any captain. That’s a great idea. 🥴
Glad he talked about the BS reffing, the refs in this bush league have zero accountability.

Bad job
😐 they need to make this trade: Anderson/kuzmenko for Dylan Cozens, other: bring up joni jurmo/Martin Frk. #calgaryflames #flames

Also, Cozens is NOT worth Anderson, and Kuzy is worth nothing right now so what’s the point of trading him?
I don't think the Sabres are after defense. They need a solid vet up front.
