I had the original DB5 as a kid even though I was not a Bond fan. But I secretly coveted the Lotus in sub mode. Seeing it transform underwater in the film was amazing as a child. Coolest Bond car ever!
But as an adult I agree with you, about the Living Daylights Aston Martin Volente.

I know exactly what you mean, when that Lotus went into the water it blew my tiny little mind. The DB5 is a classic though, toy and car, when it comes to the gadgets. I used to have a poster of the Volente on my bedroom wall when I was a teen.

A great look at all these vehicles. My anxiety spiked when you fired the missiles from the Lotus sub, I was terrified they were gonna get lost.
Yeah I thought that the moment I did it, but theni noticed they fired in a sequence, forgot about the danger and did it again to see if it would fire in the same sequence 🤣 well I have all the rockets still so no worries there and you can sleep easy.

Now there is something you don’t see everyday . Those are some cool cars you got there . I have always loved the James Bond cars . The skis that pop out on that one car is neat ! You got a few surfs instead 🤣🤣!! The white car was always my favorite as well as a kid !! Neat you still have your childhood one on the gray car . Fantastic sharing amigo !!

Yeah I love these classic Corgi cars, have done since I was a kid. They are well worth getting, and the modern ones aren’t expensive, not sure how available they are over there in the US, they are available from Amazon over here.
The Directors Cut versions are the ones to go for with some unique features.I have three.The DB5 has chrome tyre slashers,the Lotus has propellers and Little Nellie comes with Sean Connery in the Pilot's seat.
@@leewhite2195 are these the newer versions that come in those fold open black boxes? I’ve seen a few and the detailing on them is fantastic.

Not a big car guy but loved the missile launching feature. Still some good spring in there.
One does have to admire the amount of engineering they put into these toys back in the day. As you can see the modern day ones are not as inspiring (low profile tires are not really an action feature).

Awesome, I had a few of these too back in the day, the DB5, Lotus and the 2CV from For Your Eyes Only.
Nice! I never had the 2CV, it is a classic though, I remember a friend of mine getting it for his birthday when I was about 5.

I also have that Lotus submarine car. Not that I was real fan of of the James Bond Series, just fount that It looked like a Delorean ;-)
I always loved this Lotus, it was the one I really wanted as a kid but never had until later. I just loved the engineering and that it was like some kind of Transformer.

Yeah can’t help but feel that Corgi missed out with the DB10. In the film it had loads of gadgets but I guess it would cost too much to produce. At least it’s got realistic opening doors 😂
