Let me help: when paddling solo, move the seat to the center so you will equalize/balance the weight and that will give you a much better tracking and glide. Remove skegs when running shallow or rocky rivers or they will get torn off. Valves? Make certain you have the valve popped up in the lock/closed position when filling and then when you take off the adaptor, you won't lose air..simple spring action that works well. When putting on the valve cap, make sure there ifs no sand or dirt around the ring seal. I frequently run a light coating of vasoline or spray on UV protectant (303 is my favorite) to the valves to keep them in top condition. If in sandy beach areas, make certain to flush the valve areas to keep clean. Dry the kayak while inflated and before putting away as they will grow mold if not dried. I like to inflate when home to towel dry and air dry for a few hours before putting it back in the storage bag.
Hi Jim, nice points, thank you. We use to paddle in two, so that's why my seat is in the back position, but it is a good point to move the seat to the middle while paddling solo. The valves problem was resolved by changing the pump, the original in set was defect, as it is mentioned in the video description.
@@CZOV Are you dense? Of course you can sit alone in a two seater kayak, i'm asking if you can actually use the kayak with one sit, precisely in the middle, like some other Inflatable kayaks can. Learn to read.
Hi Milos. Good video. Please, tell me if this material is really resistant to punctures or not. How it works under rough conditions or in windy days? Thanks for your answer
Hi Bladimiro, actually I haven’t tried the kayak on wild water (I'm using it on lakes and calm rivers), so can’t give you a proper response at the moment. For sure I would feel safer in Gumotex K2 in very extreme conditions (I have tried on Soca river and it is excellent).
I did not find out how to use the one in the set, but there was a defective pump in set and reseller have replaced it with the other one, which is from the better product line with pressure gauge on the pump.
Hello, so after all this timewould you recommand this kayak? And also wich one is the better for you between Decathlon Itiwit, Sevylor Colorado and Aqua Marine K2 ? Thanks
Kayak is nice for the money I think. For me it is more suitable for lakes and calm waters. Old itiwit kayak I wouldn't buy because of the fabric cover, which gets too long to dry. There's a new line Itiwit X100, which is more durable an higher pressure than AM kayak, but has a different shape and is quite "lazy". On the other side, on big river like Danube here, I feel somehow safer in that one, because is 30cm wider. Sevylor I haven’t tried.
Hello, I have not tried to stand in, but I'm not sure if it's usual to stand in a kayak. It is only 83 cm wide, so one should have a very good balance to stay in it, especially while fishing. The kayak floor is similar to the paddle board, so it's pretty solid to stay, but for the balance it should probably be better to use the inflatable boat. It's winter in my country, so I can't try it now, maybe next season I will make a more detailed video about this kayak. Hope this helps.
I don't even understand why people don't try that first, standing up is a fantastic advantage of drop stitch floor boats. I don't know about this one but I used to have kind of a similar boat (aquaglide deschutes 2p) and I would stand up all the time, specially for fishing. I found it a bit more stable that a regular SUP.
Hi Vladimir, I am not a kayak expert, this is really up to your decision. K2 has probably better construction and also the durability (on their site K2 suggested for wild water, while the K0 just for calm waters)
@@udireshef5034 absolutely not, orca is an excellent inflatable kayak without drop stich but not suitable for the sea with a little current and waves of 50 -70 cm. Better the Steam-412 model of 2020 which is the right evolution of the Betta-K2 of 2017 because in sea water with medium currents with waves of 60cm it behaves very well. obviously if too much water enters between the splashes, you will have to open 1 to 3 caps per side on the bottom to keep the water level inside under control and this also makes the kayak more stable. Tried together with a Solar / 019 that costs about twice as much and I assure you that the Steam-412 seemed much better in rough water. Itwit X100 + is a great kayak but shorter and wider which makes it more stable in calm waters is perhaps more reliable when traveling with inexperienced or children but the Betta-k2 or Steam-412 from Aqua Marina show no envy.
Yes in calm waters there is no reason to let the water go inside the kayak, drain valves should be opened on wild (white) water (or maybe the big waves on the sea) to let the big amounts of water coming from outside to leave the kayak through them.

Great points. You hit all the issues I had on the head for sure.
I just started kayaking today and am keen to buy an inflatable that I can carry and inflate on my own. Your comments are really helpful. Thanks 😊
Good music!!! Who is the piano player?
Are you able to use it solo? And by that I mean, to only place one sit in the middle?
Are u blind?

How do you use the pressure gage? A gage comes with the kayak and no instructions on how to use it.

Broke the fins on my ride ride back. Not too bad of a kayak though.
How do you put the pressure gauge on to know how inflated it is?

Yes ofcourse, kayak is ok for two persons. Since it has a good shape, it can be pretty fast while paddling in two.
