Homeowners in Kingwood throwing away damaged belongings in flooded homes

- ABC13 sent out a crew to Kingwood on Sunday to speak with residents on their recovery efforts from the catastrophic flooding this week. "It's a terrible, demoralizing feeling."
If i remember from Hurricane Harvey, they need to keep everything for the insurance people to review. Otherwise, they may not get reimbursed for those items by the insurance company. My friend piled her damaged items in the backyard.
They need to be sure to take pictures of everything they throw out. Especially if there are serial numbers on them, such as TV, fridges, freezers and such. That way they will have evidence of what they had. Sad to see all these people loose everything.
My neighbor got flooded third time in 7 years. Thanks Lake Conroe and Livingston for opening your gates.

What a mess. Sympathy to those affects
Look be smart and don’t buy a house that’s in a flood plane…. Basically don’t buy a house near water that will or can flood…
All of Houston/Humble/Kingwood/Richmond are in a flood plane.
I remember sitting on the cross over pass bridge over 59 from Hamblen to Sorters, sitting on the bridge as the water on the then not yet widened 59 way north of the SJacRvr and a friend's townhome up to the 2nd floor,
I've remodel homes taht have been flooded a few times and I hear the same thing....."next flood and we will move out....." my question....."Where? to another flood zone? ".
oh no. that amphibious lifestyle ain’t for me

Nobody even builds raised homes here now like is more common along the GA/ SC coasts. I guess the “ideal McMansion” sits flat on a cement pad & nothing else will do.

It’s all fine. They’ll get complete home renovations with the insurance claims and everyone else will pay for it with increased premiums.

This is tragic. Just FYI "As a Christian, Soul Winning Is our Responsibility. That we should try to win our immediate family and relatives (John 1:40-42) friends, neighbors (John 4:28-29, 39)other people (Mark 16:15) we should Know the result of not winning souls for Jesus Christ, that God will require us to Answer to Him if that Person Dies without Being Saved (Eze 3:18-19; Acts 20:26-27; Pro 24:11-12) My friends, please start now so that we do not have to meet Jesus empty-handed without SAVED souls.
