Hana on the right is the original drummer - and often singer. Some years ago, she found it more comfortable to play the guitar while singing, so she's now the rythm guitarist and main singer, and Yuri is the official drummer. But here she joined Yuri for a drums duo.
Fun fact, you can say that they were the pioneers and the OG of kawaii metal. BabyMetal were the first to be recognized across the globe and well deservingly so with more heavy riff metals with jpop but Gacharic Spin were aheads of its time when experiencing pop/metal/EDM in 2009. Unfortunately with band lineup changing during GS career and spinning off to creating another group Dollboxx in mid-late 2017. I think it was too much for Japanese fans to handle lol where it’s pretty much the norm in other countries leaving or doing a spin-off bands from their original group. The guitarist Tomo-zo is just ridiculously good w/the finesse she plays is just effortlessly fun!! Another banger from Gacharic Spin, and another great reaction. One of those bands I'd like to see live, but it seems unlikely they'd play in the UK - simply isn't the fan base for them. They're not so easy to market as a heavy metal, punk or rock band, their music steps outside genres. Very talented musicians, The new singer Angie is learning to play guitar which means I think they'll have 6 guitarists in the band. One of the interesting things about Japanese bands is their willingness to teach / learn new musical skills.
Like Juicy Beats, this is an older song as performed last fall. The song was from their first personnel change, hence “next stage”, and this recent tour was their first since the most recent personnel change with new drummer and singer. Juicy Beats had tiny bits of English like “turn me on”, “satisfaction”, next stage also has the conspicuous line “I can change my world”. When lovebites sounds sings all in English it sets expectations for listening, but when it’s 5% English, or 10-40% like band maid, it’s harder to hear, but more fun I think to listen again or look up translations.
I would say that they are a combination of metal and idol.
