Quarry was a skilled boxer when he wanted to be, also an excellent counterpuncher. He became more of a slugger when he got older. Spencer's stance was similar to that of Joe Louis.
boring fight, too many clinches. Quarry won but not convincingly until the final moments. Why did he wait so long to unload? Spencer was not much of a puncher.

Quarry was a tough fighter. Just to small for his time. Ali , Foreman, Norton and Frazier bigger. Quarry would have been great cruiserweight champ.

The boxing authorities finally realised these guys just over 175 lbs were too small . That is why the cruiserweight division was created.
This is 1968 the cruiserweight division didn't come along until the early mid 80s🤔
