I think the difference is that Rice played most of the season at DM so the defense had support especially with the midfield high up the pitch, Partey also started at RB last season before he got injured. He's getting back in the groove of his position but our midfield plays a little too high up the pitch now so he has to get used to tracking but when he doesn't really have the speed for it, I think with Marino that will change.
We need a proper 9 or a bench striker who can come in and changes the momentum of the game like Trossard,I looked at our bench yesterday and I got worried that the striker we have is Edy nketiah ooooh,we need Viktor Gyokeres he is a killer striker, imagine having Kai havertz as our super sub and Jesus coming in for Saka,I would love to have this dream come true.
I thought we were poor and quite lucky until trossard come on? Am I being unfair? The passing was slow, we didn’t create much, partey was being dribbled past, martinelli poor?
