99% sure this is a training run. If you pause the video at 00:27 and look at the rear window, on the right hand side near the top there appears to be a black object stuck on the window near the top right corner, this is usually where they place the blue flashing LED's on unmarked cars... usually one on either side of the rear window in each top corner, and one in the centre of the front windscreen on the passenger's side of the mirror.

clearly, from the demeanour and driving practise of the alleged fleeing driver, this is a training exercise carried out on public roads as is the case on a daily basis.
If it was training it would be using lights and sirens seeing as it's going at high speed through red lights and driving erratically towards oncoming traffic
@irigouis88 yeah you're quite right. No lights are often used to simulate a completely realistic situation where the public are less aware of what's happening thus generating a natural response. Not a great deal more risk to the public anyway because it's a controlled situation!

Curious question about unmark police cars, do they have to keep changing the number plate of each one? Nice video anyway mate. Off the book though, I have a grey police car where I live I don't know if it is MOD or just a regular police car but it the only one I ever seen? Any answer would be welcome, thank you.
I’m no expert but I doubt they change the reg, and if you search online there may be a FOI request, for my local constabulary there is thus you can access the spreadsheet with every vehicle in the fleet, it may not show the reg for the unmarked ones though.
Patiflops2 The short answer is No - unmarked cars keep the same plates all the time. And unmarked cars are designed to give officers that extra edge to catch people out and creep up on them but are not completely covert or ‘secret’ as in fact a lot of them you can spot the grill blue lights and see the officers in uniform inside etc. On the other hand there are covert vehicles that are designed not to be seen and may get plates changed regularly or be on ‘ghost plates’ that don’t exist. These vehicles will be used for surveillance and various operations by counter terrorism police or an agency like NCA. In terms of the grey vehicle you are on about if you can give more info we may be able to help? 🚓
@@indiadelta9997 Thank you for the quick answer. @@mstevens113 Exactly.
