Villa fan here. Great result for Boro. Carrick is doing a really good job at Boro. It's not been a flash in the pan now. This is his 2nd good season to date so good luck to him and Boro. I was gutted that we didn't do some type of deal with Boro to let our young striker stay with Boro bcos I felt he would've learned more under CARRICK than he's going to playing at Sheff UTD struggling in the EPL I'm not sure if he wanted to leave or Villa just sold him. The fans rated him very highly but we cannot go against our manager when he's doing a bang up job for us. He was doing well at Boro. I just didn't think Sheff Utd was a good move for him and I would've pushed him to remain at Boro, and see if Boro and Carrick could've come up with a deal to get him playing more games. To me, a supporter who wants to see players get it down on the grass and play, Sheff Utd was a terrible move for ARCHER. I think he would've definitely benefited from another season in the EFL with CARRICK and BORO. Unfortunately he thought his career was better served going to a club who will suffer a lot of defeats. U cannot help ppl sometimes. If they make their minds up it's not for changing but what Cameron should've done was looked at the Rhian Brewster situation. He's failed miserably there along with other strikers like Burnie as well. I rambling on about a player that neither of our clubs has. LMAO I do like this young striker u have RODGERS? You're still a big club who will be back in the top flight hopefully ASAP. If Sheffield United get relegated this season we are obligated to sign Cameron Archer back to Villa Park in the summer.
