I knew of Barotrauma before I found you, but when I watched your previous status reports recently, I decided to buy the game! Funny thing is that I was skeptical that I would like it. But, as of now, I have 200+ hours. I just want to say thanks for making these videos! I would have never become a husk cultist without you. :)

Thanks to you, I have my own crew of one man who keeps managing to kill themselves on stairs, a person who repeatedly makes the mistake of trusting me with Calyx extract, and most horrifyingly, a clown. Hope to see your report for the March 13th 1.0 update! - The most trustworthy captain and medic in Europa's seas, Dr. Malpractice.
I’ll never forget the time where my captain was killed nearly instantly killed by a Latcher when it’s tongue pierced through my ships hull and through my chest. Mini-heart attack moment.
I'm so glad I found this channel so early on, this feels like it has 10 times the subcribes it shoudl have. it has so much effort, so much fun, like you are great and very skilled and I'm glad you talked about other games such as the Last Stand, hope you talk more about indie games of the sort

Always great to see your review of recent Barotrauma changes. Some updates were less well-received than others ( Among the Ancients and Urban Expenses got some flak ). I think most of the changes were necessary.
I absolutely love this game, along with dragging my friends to go into the depths of Europa and getting everyone traumatized or deceased. Although im pretty new to it, i'm studying the game on my freetime!
Some of the changes made only made sense down the line. When the revolver and harpoon gun got nerfed I was baffled - the game was hard enough already. The nerf made more sense when The Holiday Update came with a bunch of high-power weapons
I love this game so much. Even if you don't think you will like it buy it on sale and try out some traitor servers. They're great fun and I have countless hilarious stories from that game and I only really play on one server
"and the talents are going to get even more unique" *completely ignores 90% of the barotrauma community screaming at the devs to stop making talents worse*
Covering early access is weird- this video started out closer to 17 minutes long and more nit-picky, but the nature of greenlight games constantly growing can make providing real-time relevant criticism difficult. Seeing as they announced the Talent changes 90% of the way through editing this, the fact that I even mention it at all was just to acknowledge the existence of an upcoming change- and the added half second of vague optimism is because I tend towards thinking the best of people's creativity until I'm shown otherwise by a finished product. Next time- once the devs have had the chance to test and patch and tweak things more, I can talk more in depth about the actual impact of those changes instead of tossing out my last-second critiques based on a test build a month before the first version of the changes go live.
This is not the game it is marketed to be. This game’s developers openly endorse Griefing, even incorporating it into their game with Clowns, their lore, their community, and even their stated intentions for players to sabotage their teammates. Do not spend your money to be the target of harassment in this game. Either the developers can include it in their product description, or they can stop promoting it.
I'd love to hear a more detailed account of what you're referring to here- are you referring to player behavior in open lobbies? Because there are definitely a lot of rude toxic people who just want to ruin things for everyone else- but the bulk of players are not like that in my extensive experience. I don't condone or believe in tolerating harassment or hate speech, and if I encounter those things I ban the person, tell the server owner to ban them, or leave the lobby and find a different one. I also play this game with 1-4 friends in a private server or play in single player when I'm looking to experience the game in a structured manner without the risk of random jerks popping up and ruining things. I'm very open to hearing about and accounting for your experience but based on your comment it seems like there may be some sort of misunderstanding of the Dev's stance on harassment or their responsibilities in marketing their game so I'd really appreciate some clarification!

one of my favourite things about barotrauma is being able to leave the submarine to come back to a mud raptor who has kill my entire crew
I follow the patches pretty regularly but I had missed the changes to beacon repair missions, great work as always

They've also added some more in the settings menu for when you're setting up a lobby. And non-lethal handheld weaponry.

It's such a simple, understated addition that adds so much and I really really like it!

Man the old reactor fuel mechanic was pain in single player because the bot often drop the used up fuel rod into the ballast tank lol.
