William Basinski on Creating The Disintegration Loops

William Basinski is an experimental composer best known for his four-volume album The Disintegration Loops, which Pitchfork scored a "Perfect 10." (By the way, a Pitchfork 10 is practically unheard of.)
In our exclusive interview ahead of the SXSW release of the documentary Disintegration Loops, we talk with William about his life and career and how he went from obscure experimental ambient artist to revered in the music industry overnight.
