But she is right about the fact that Left wing are going to have to work with Right wing if the problem is going to be solved, because the government is going to change hands many times. There is truth to both sides of the debate and until people realize that they will never convince anyone to see things from their perspective.

It’s amazing that in the US climate science is seen as something political between the left and right but in other countries particularly in Europe it’s an accepted fact in both the left and right wing but what is debatable are the solutions to address the problem. Only in America that scientific facts are perceived as political, that is a sign of poor education

People don't care until it affects them personally, or until they experience it themselves. It's kind of sad honestly. Ignorance is bliss. I've probably been guilty of this too. It's easier not to feel empathy. We all need a healthy dose of humility to understand each other.

The "left and right" are false dichotomies that doesn't meaningfully describe politics, but rather just tribalism in the modern political landscape. We need to get away from tribalistic thinking, where we identify with a group first and adopt whatever view they have, rather than meaningfully try to discuss topics on a policy level. Of course, this takes a lot more time and energy, which is why tribalism is so easy to lean into.

"Changing the narrative" is not what is needed (this is misleading and deceiving)
What is needed is 1) Acknowledging publicly the problem and 2) doing something about the problem with the help of independent scientists -/experts. Diminishing the carbon footprint (Kyoto Protocol) and NOT digging in north/south poles for more fossil fuel is a start... Which is exactly what Republicans are NOT willing to ever do.. "America first, no matter the cost"..

My problem with this starts in the late 1960’s. Back then it was, “The Coming Ice Age” and how to deal with arctic temperatures in Florida‼️ I was sourcing 2inch styrofoam sheets to use in the house, etc. This started with the “Hockey Stick” graph from Iceland ice cores showing that as CO2 goes up temperatures rise. The problem? They had reversed the timeline and it actually showed that when temperatures went up CO2 rises. They LIED‼️ A lie is misrepresenting facts to mislead you. Look for the facts not their “truth.”

My dear, between now and 2050 the effect of climate change is going to get much worse, even if we were to take drastic measures tomorrow that go far beyond anything being proposed by either party today. The only question is how much worse will the impact of that climate warming become? Recent data suggests that it will be more costly to humanity in terms of property and habitable community losses, economic impact, and loss of human life than even our worst estimates. So in the spirit of your offer to meet me halfway, I look forward to fighting for our mutual survival with you and all of your conservative friends, but I feel sorry for young people who will face a lifelong struggle with this after my generation is long gone.

The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
