First of all, I want to thank @theskinnybib ( / theskinnybib ) for this Thai restaurant recommendation.
Loong Riang & Pamalee (ร้านลุงเรียง & ป้ามาลี) is a restaurant that serves Thai jungle food (อาหารป่า). The restaurant is located in the countryside, in a small village in Chonburi, Thailand, not too far from Pattaya. One morning, my friend Joel and I, along with Ying and Micah, drove straight there. It took about 1.5 hours to get there, and every minute of the drive was completely worth it. It turned out to be among the best meals of my life!
So again, Loong Riang & Pamalee (ร้านลุงเรียง & ป้ามาลี) serves Thai food, but jungle Thai food - in Thai that’s what it literally translates to. So that means they use lots of local and wild ingredients in their cooking and recipes, and also some traditional Thai recipes as well.
Here are the dishes we ate:
1. Wild boar with pineapple stems (ผัดหมูป่าจุกสัปประรด) - An amazing Thai dish, made with curry paste wild boar, and slices of pineapple stems.
2. Pork curry with coconut shell (แกงหมูกะลา) - My first time to eat coconut shell in Thailand. It had a crunch like a carrot, stir fried with curry paste.
3. Wild boar with snakefruit (หมูป่าพล่าระกำ) - This is a type of pla, which in Thai is a mix or type of salad made with wild boar and salak fruit, or snakefruit.
4. Squid ink with garcinia leaves (หมึกต้มใบชะมวง) - The squid was nice and tender and the soup with sour and sweet.
5. Old style fried fish cakes (ทอดมันโบราณ) - These Thai fried fish cakes were made with all fish and curry paste.
6. Catfish salt curry (แกงเกลือปลาดุก) - This is one of their speciality dishes at Loong Riang & Pamalee (ร้านลุงเรียง & ป้ามาลี), and it was packed with flavor.
7. Best omelet in the world (ไข่เจียวอร่อยที่สุดในโลก) - In all fun, it’s really called the best omelet in the world, and it was pretty life-changing.
8. Free range chicken boiled with snakefruit (ไก่บ้านต้มระกำ) - This soup was so sour, you’ll feel it in your bones! Again, this Thai jungle food recipe was made with snakefruit.
9. Catfish fried with fresh chilies (ปลาดุกผัดพริกสด) - The catfish was deep fried, and stir fried with lots of chilies and garlic.
10.Fried chicken with salt (ไก่คั่วเกลือ) - This fried chicken was boney, but unbelievable in flavor.
11. Pork ribs with yellow nightshade (หมูใบพายผัดมะเขือเหลือง) - Another classic jungle Thai food dish, with ribs and slices of yellow nightshade.
12.Jungle bird with holy basil (กระเพรานกป่า) - Final dish we ate was a type of Thai minced pheasant stir fried with wild holy basil.

Everything from the amazing and unique Thai dishes you can eat, to the outstanding country village atmosphere, to the friendly and passionate owners makes it such a stand-out restaurant in Thailand.

@Swiit Lime Because English is not for Thai People or the best language to convey ones thoughts. Sure its quite obvious its the chosen language for world enslavement and propaganda but it is limited and bastardized. Thai is also more beautiful sounding and reflects purity in feelings.

After watching quite a few videos of Mark,
How to tell if the food is good:
1. "Meh, it's alright" - Mark cuts out the reaction. Only comments.
2. "It's great" - Does the surprised, wide eyed reaction and a few "oh wow".
3. "It's amazing" - Does the closed eyed lean.
4. "War ending flavor" - After the lean one eye opens slower than the other.

lol tried making the omelette myself. 3 eggs + 1 salted egg + 1 century egg + concerningly amount of oil = heaven. This combination is amazing. I can only imagine how the dish you guys tasted.

Oh my God!, that restaurant looked amazing! That jungle bird with holy basil, that omelet, and the fried fish cakes made my mouth water! The owners were also super amazing, very friendly and overly courteous. It is not very often that you come across restaurant owners or workers as friendly as they are. I have loved this video as always, and one of the reasons is I can get to know the world, different because of cultures, languages, typical dishes, etc. without the need to travel to that country.
My dream is to travel around the world and when I go to Thailand, my mission will be to visit that restaurant, apparently it is something I don't want to miss.

Pls pls pls go there, i was about to travel to Thailand and i came across this video before the trip as a part of my research, now almost four years have passed, im telling you man, the whole of thailand is an expirence unlike anything or any place else, maybe iran could match it, BUT remember nothing less than 2 weeks can be good, just drop everything and go to Thailand, ever since i returned from thailand ive been trying to find a way to permanently move there...

OMG, Looked so delicious. I live with my wife in Sissaket & she's a Trained Thai Chef so I'm getting fatter on her culinary delights. Just watched your vlog whilst sampling a bowl of Khow Tom with 2 duck eggs, how nice is that?. Love food with a passion which was why my favourite western Chef is Rick Stein as his passion is infectious. I also see that passion for food with you which is why I'm enjoying your vlogs so much. I will definitely track this place down next time I'm in Pattaya. Anytime your near Khun Han, come dine with us, my wife loves cooking for people who enjoy food. My question is how you keep so thin, im like a sumo after all this food.
