Way to go. Do what YOU would rather be doing. I started beading in 2019 after being diagnosed with an incurable very rare cancer in 2018 and being told I had 3 to 6 months to live. I knew I had to take control and not spend my limited time sitting on the pity porch. To do that I needed what I call my happy places--something I felt like doing that would occupy my mind and not allow depression to steal away my happy times. I had taught myself quilting about a year before the diagnosis and I also used that to occupy my mind, just picking up random scraps of fabric and sewing them into scrappy, uncoordinated quilt blocks. One day I hope to sew them together into what I'll call my "survival quilt." I believe my faith in God, prayers from prayer groups literally around the world, a can-do attitude, and my happy places are the reasons for my defying all the odds. It's been a rough road with chemo's that did not work and one that landed me in the hospital for days, surgery, etc. At the end of my treatment options with no results, God sent a new drug that had proven helpful in some cancers but not FDA approved for my rare type of cancer (only 10,000 cases happen in the U.S. each year). My doctor prescribed it to me off label and it worked allowing for a 12-hour surgery. Four days after surgery my pathology reports revealed that my surrounding tissue was cancer-free making me NED (no evidence of disease). There is no cure and the cancer almost always comes back with a vengeance. My doctors call me a miracle. In early September I will be 4 years NED. There are residual problems from all the treatments, but I thank God everyday that I'm still on the top side of the green grass.
Oh my goodness! Thanks be to God! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me! You put so much into perspective for my life❤️. You are a walking miracle, many blessings to you my friend and take care 💖
I also have three cats and a dog. Good to see you on your own channel. I have been making jewelry for seven years now and love watching other artists work.I always learn something.

Jody, I am so glad you are doing JODY. You have been very gracious to continue doing a Channel for Wendy, but I am so glad you are also doing you. We will never forget Wendy's contribution to our beading community. RIP sweet Wendy. I was one of Wendy's original members and have followed several other artists. I enjoy designing for pleasure and have been for about twenty years. I am now encouraging one of my granddaughters to design. She is doing a fabulous job. My fav item to make is bracelets and I think my style is BOHO CHIC. Congrats on your channel!!!
Yes Wendy is so important to me for so many reasons! It feels good for me to be able to do both channels, now I need to figure out my timing 😂. That is so awesome that your granddaughter is learning this amazing art! ❤ thank you for being here with me! ❤❤
Hi Jody, congratulations on your first video on your new TH-cam channel how exciting!! I’m actually coming up on a year of jewelry making and watching TH-cam videos and tutorials!! Watching the video now love love love this necklace and it’s perfect for men or women 🌸🌼🌸
I just finished watching your video, so I'll answer your questions. I have been making and selling jewelry, primarily polymer clay and metal, for 11 years. Polymer clay is my passion, I love creating with it, the possibilities are endless! I've recently branched out to include some beaded jewelry as well. I found Wendy's channel not too long before she passed away. I liked her style and her personality. I thank you for stepping up and taking over for her. You are a joy to watch and I love how we have gotten to know you through your videos. It feels like you are across the table from me, we're chatting and crafting together. You are so lucky for your nice weather, I'm in the Dallas area and we're in the 100's during the day and 80's at night. It's just too hot!
@jodykrontz lol, sometimes it feels like a long time and sometimes it feels like I just started. If you've never worked with polymer clay, try it! It's so much fun! If you have any questions, let me know and I'll try to help.
Congrats on the new channel and I wish you great success. Your warmth, kindness and sharing make me feel like a good friend has come over to bead. Your channel is more than a beading tutorial. Carol in CO

Good to see you on your new channel Jody . I have always watched you on Wendy’ s friends and have loved it. I first started beading about 40 years ago and then stopped and resumed 2 years ago because of all the wonderful tutorials like yours and I would never have believed what you can order now online and have delivered!!
Very pretty design! I will be around whichever channel you are on! I have some of the smaller beads from Sam's and I need to get them out and use them. Maybe this weekend!💜
It took me almost a year before I could go back to Wendy's channel but you've made the transition easy and I enjoy watching you.......congratulations on starting your own channel and I hope it grows as well

Jody, loved watching you on WCFs. Your designs are beautiful. Congratulations on the new channel. I look forward to all the wonderful things you are going to share with us!
Hi Jody 😊 I am so happy to see you starting your own channel. I loved Wendy and her videos! And I think it’s really nice that you a few other ladies have helped Chris by continuing her channel, I have really enjoyed those videos. But, you have something special that people really like and I think it’s great that you have started your own channel. I hope that you will eventually be able to create enough content that you can get monetized, I think that’s only fair. I mean no disrespect for Chris, but you deserve to reap the benefits of your work too.
I’m new to you and congratulations on your new channel. I do several crafts like beads, wreaths and crocheting. You have motivated me to get back to my beading! I will continue to watch you. The necklace is beautiful!!! ❤
