Really don't like being captain obvious, but put the mini mic in the high viz roll.🤭 You should foam that out Steve, I think it would all fit. In the military with high viz, we would paint or use a foam on the bottom of a bright color. Then when you open up and see that bright color, You know that "thing" is missing. You should see my X6100 kit, it has everything you have minus the High Viz. Maybe like one "other" thing...maybe two.
That one "other" thing is concealed in another kit on my person. Honestly though, under most circumstances I use the mic, battery and the radio and the rest will stay in the case unless I'm doing something special - quick deploy!
@@temporarilyoffline I have started including a USB Key that is a clone of a directory on my main computer. Included is all the software updates to run the radio and my other radios as a backup. Hey - I have two different versions of that - one with the BuddiPole PowerMini2: www.buddipole.com/powermini.html and another with the Victron unit where I added powerpoles and ferrules to make it pretty: geni.us/3tzYKy. The victron is actually a better unit for a lot of reasons. I'll be making a video on that one shortly. The buddipole version is good too, but one of them has to win and the victron is cheaper too!
@@temporarilyoffline Thanks for the info. Neither are the one I was thinking. I think it was a video you did with Hayden, but things all blend together these days. What a shame Xiegu. For go kit we need external battery having built-in one.😮 That is why, trx without a battery 🔋 and tuner is my way. I just pack minimal gear but only with small downside when I need additional cables to connect battery and/or tuner (tuner I use very rare).

to replace the stock mic cord I like a nice cloth covered flat CAT 7 cable thats double shielded and rolls up tiny without the stupid coils.

Have you noticed that running the radio on high power 8 watts for about 10 minutes causes the pa to shut down and forces the radio to shut off.
I haven't noticed that, but I also haven't held the PTT for 10 minutes straight either. Closest I've come to that is a few hours of FT8 at 5w.
