To those people like me who came here after seeing something along the lines of x²-5x you only have to factorise i so that you can clearly distinguish the A and the B expressions. So with our example of x²-5x we simply take the common number (in this case x) and put it outside the expression then use the rest so in this case our expression would be x(x-5) because when you expand it you get x²-5x. But back to our expression x(x-5) you then simply distinguish what is INSIDE the expression(s) and label them a and b: x (x-5) from here on you follow the man in the video's instructions ; ) hope I helped you a lot.
