I agree on the characters and quests. A lot of characters are underutilized to the point where both on banner and in game we gotta wait a year+ just for them to have 5 voicelines A lot that has to do with albedo and durin is in 2 limited dragonspine events, so a new player playing 4.8 simulanka would be confused asf
Ok, I don't speak english very well, you don't speak clearly in this video so I couldn't understand everything but let me defend a few cases: 1. Gacha: Without a predatory economy system a lifetime rpg of that quality wouldn't be possible. Is the money they get in relation to the current quality? In my opinion no! Genshin still lacks basic game function which are currently implemented as QoL but not at a speed they should be. I mean if they wouldn't have gacha, we would get really poor skins and collabs below the texture quality of Alloy. We would probably get more limited resign with it being a subscribtion service to play or even lock entire content like big MMO content. 5* weapons would most likely entirely p2get like with the battle pass. The overall average price of characters would also be higher (I mean the average price of a featured 5* character is 62,5 and a featured 4* is 38+ pulls, to lazy to math it into dollar). 2. Inazuma Story: If the last parts would be completely re-written then it is a good story. Or they just remove the Kok hype that they did. The main issue of Inazuma was that the story was written with one less part in mind but for some reason they need to stay true to the format they laid out for every other region. Also the date with Raiden was really bad but that exist in other regions too. 3. NPC quests: Most playable characters (to be precise I couldn't name one) are higher ups so it is no wonder that most quest start and finish with the life of regular folk. I mean we are roleplaying as Aether/Lumine an Adventurer who take up quests without questions asked as long as the payment fits. And if you find a story not fun or don't care about it, then you shouldn't do them. I mean for example the lucky charm quest (with good story) in Inazuma with approximatly 60 primos is something many people will most likely never experience, so why should you care about timmys dad for 20 primos? Heck why would you use your time on timmys quest if it is much more time efficient to take up a small side job like mowing your neighbors grass for 5 bucks to get the shiny rocks or better yet: not care about which character you get? 4. The story was said to conclude after 14 years time however Teyvat will likely end in 2-4 years (depending if we get to abyss/celestia and some expansions like the see of flowers). The Traveller is merely an observant from outside the perspective of Irmensol just like we as players are just observants from outside the perspective of Genshin Impact (shown in bedtime story quest and Sumeru quest). The Archon quest can be easily digested without resources like the book of sun and moon if you don't need to know everything that will happen in future quests (Theory craft territory). 5. repetitive farming: This is more fault with nature of players mentality then anything. A lot of content created is just "look how good this is" without showing that you don't need to get something that good for most characters. Like I have farmed for my Bennett two weeks and then never changed it. He is one of my weakest build character where I actually sat down and actively farmed just for him. But it is still completely viable to clear all the content thrown at him. Like I didn't need to farm for my Yoimiya for 5 months, if the combat performance just improved by 2% compared to the build after the first month. Also you don't need to clear something like the abyss perfectly, I personally just go for 33 stars because I don't see the value to put in 6 hours for 50/now 100 primos. People even complain about the IT now but honestly your investment in characters doesn't need to be so good that you should complain.
