- Guess where the only 100% Jewish town in the world, outside the U.S. and Israel, is located? I explored an unusual Jewish community in an unlikely location, and this is what I found...

Azerbaijan is a wonderful country that you really should visit! Also, disclaimer, when I say "Muslim country" I mean that it is the main religion, not that Azeris are necessarily defined by their religion. Just saying. If you have any questions, ask away!
Wow! That sure was interesting. Happy Yom Ha-atzmaut (independence day) 👍
Azerbaijan ethnically cleansed Armenians. They continued they and the Turks are perpetrators of the Armenian genocide.
I can't wait to visit! Also, Ganja in Azerbaijan. You're very handsome with beautiful eyes!
Im Azerbaijani and im an Atheist
Put your kippah on as SOOOON as you walk into the town man.
DEFINITELY once you enter a building there. Woww.
Start to wear tzitzit all the time bezrH.
I am a Kavkazi Quba jew who was born in NYC and speak Judeo-Tat too. My parents were born there and my ancestors lived there for over a millennia. I've watched your channel so many times and indulged in your vlogs so much in the past! I was very pleasantly surprised to see this upload. I'm happy you enjoyed Quba. Todah Rabah.
The Mountain Jews originated in JUDEA, not Persia. They were known for being great warriors and the Persians hired them as mercenaries to keep the borders safe from invaders.
They were from Babylon...they do not went back to Judea after the Babylonian empire was defeated by Persian.
Very nice of you to visit this fascinating place and make a video. However, you need to brush up on history and Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Ditto the difference between Israelites (Children of Israel), Hebrews, Judeans, and Jews. Palestine is Roman construct and original Palestinians were...er...Jews. Go figure...
@@ajarnwordsmith628 There are no "palestinians". They are a construct invented by yasser arafat, an Egyptian. He used this narrative as a tool to delegitimize the Jewish state.
The people you are referring to are regional arabs mainly from Egypt and Saudi Arabia (the Hijaz). They are not the descendants of Jews and have no connection to ethnic Jews. Bye.
The Jews were taken to Babylon and then to that region.
@@7.2 The Jews were not "taken" to that region. They were hired as mercenaries to keep the Persian borders safe. As now, back then they were known as good warriors.
8:20 she is saying “may god bring you (and israel) health” and “(I hope) there won’t be war, so they’ll be peace”
thank you so much for the translation, it warmed my heart
Wow can you post more from Azerbaijan ? Our family is from here. It’s amazing to see this. The language is called Juhri which is the Jewish language there
Azerbaijan even honor their soldier with Jewish heritage as a national hero, for example Albert Agarunov
Never heard of him
@@CarlLiddle89 now you know mod.gov.az/en/news/a-remembrance-ceremony-of-the-national-hero-albert-agarunov-was-held-39893.html

Yeah wait till they invite their friends around the world and steal your houses and land
So happy to see a Jewish village in a Muslim majority country. I wish there were more around the globe. God bless
When they are minority they peacefull wait till invite their friends around the world and claim your country is promised for them ....
Well it was the Muslims who protected the Jews against the crusaders.
Don’t mix Jews and Zionists
Zio nists are enemies of humanity.
There is the Ghriba synagogue in Tunisia North Africa on the island of Jerba.
If things go wrong in Israel....let us Say Palestinians get back their Land....we Tunisia Can Host half a million Jews preferably from the Maghreb or French speaking..... despite not having much sympathy for Israel....
Lol the kid at 4:43 told you off for not kissing the mezuzah. Nice video as always!
In tunisia is a similar place 100% jews. You ahould go there i think its near djerba
Wait till jews steal your land
You should go there before it's become Jewish country, they will make reason to make ppl believe that it's their promised land, they will come from all over the world and your country
When I visited Tehran, I was fascinated by the Jewish community there. Someone should make a similar video about them.
There are also christians in iran more than jews they all live in harmony and peace in the islamic republic of iran 🇮🇷
@@Cloudnine422 based on what ? do you declare such affirmation !
Are you a Persian Jew ! the community has dwindled to barely 10.000 for currently the majority lives in Israel. So what does that say?
Get your facts right.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_Jews?wprov=sfla1
@@Cloudnine422That’s such a lie, there is a video and many more which a woman went to jail for being Christian and under the law in Iran being a Christian either gets you jail time or the death penalty so don’t lie about harmony in the Islamic republic when persecution is happening over there 24/7
The Iranian State here in Australia is referenced as a regime that oppresses it's people.
@Cloudnine422
Except for Sunni Muslims they keep getting humiliated
I am Mountain Jew/Juhuro(Father from Dagestan/Makhachkala and Mother from Grozni Chechenya)but Azerbaijan and Derbent is the "original" Jewish areas of where we started, the story of our cummunity is as defenders of borders of then ancient Iran from attacks from the steppes, also in Israel foundings our people were crucial in gaurding early Tel Aviv and guarding much of the agriculture field from Bedouins it was done Mountain Jews who defended them.
Unlike other regions in general Azeris and Muslim in Caucasus never been against the Jews and there close connections to this day, after Soviets collapse though extremists rose sadly in some parts of Caucasus and old close connections is not shared by young people...

You do know that there are more Orthodox jews living in Iran than Azerbaijan right? They are loyal to the teeth to the Ayatollah of Iran because they are free to practice their religion and actually many Ultra orthodox Jews who believe that Jews should not have any state moved to Iran even from the holy land. Most of them are in Esfahan.
I didn't know this town even existed, and what a special place. Thank you so much, for taking us there.
Awesome work as always brother this one was really enjoyable had no idea such a Jewish community existed !
Quba is a city in the north east of Azerbaijan. Greetings to all from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan is quite secular compared to Turkey. Even though turkish constitution is completely secular, almost none of presindents and prime Ministers followed secularism apart from the first president and founder of republic, Atatürk. So I can confidently say that azerbaijan is better in terms of art, education, secularism. Greetings from istanbul😉
Ismit inunu Was also secular
@@Hasanaljadid İsmet İnönü is also secular. But he was in search of a way to avoid fighting in the ww2. He was trying to save his majority and power. So he couldn't protect the revolutions of republic as good as Atatürk.
Greetings and great love from Azerbaijan to brotherly Turkiye. ❤️
There’s nothing good about secularism! The Donmeh ruined the Caliphate and they continue to plot and plan and scheme in Turkey! The Donmeh make up nearly half of Turkey. They pretended to be Muslim to subvert the Caliphate and establish the state of Israel. The Donmeh are apostates and they represent the opposition in Türkiye! They beat up any Muslim who expresses his Islam by wearing a Topi and or an Islamic garment and numerous cases have been highlighted in the past year! This is your secularism! Disbelief! Racism against Arabs! Hatred for Arabic and Islam! Thankfully the Muslims who love and defend Islam in Turkiye are in power and are growing in number and force! Publishing houses are churning out Arabic books regarding all the Sharia subjects including some books written by Ottoman Scholars of the past that are being printed on a large scale for the first time! Islamic universities in Türkiye are booming and
The 100 year agreement not to reinstate the Caliphate IS OVER!
Yes also better in communism
Theodore Herzl invited the mountain Jews as a delegation to the 1st world Zionists Congress. Which was a brave, bold, and good move. I think it’s so nice to have such variety among us. We’re all different people and ethnic groups but we have 1 identifying factor… a heavy one… and we all know the weight of the word JEW! When I heard the 1st boy and the lady say and identify themselves as Jews… I started to cry. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
im also israeli jew and i was in azerbaijan as well - very respectfull people with great food..azerbaijani people are my brothers

Love your zesty always positive attitude. Persistent giggly jolly disposition. I was raised christian in 1970s Lebanon. It shows there is Arab Islam (beware) than the other Islams. Your report is so informative real eye opener. Funny i thought the last character - i assume a guardian of the campus - spoke Hebrew' im thinking sigh of relief - here comes someone who speaks fluent hebrew - it wasnt to be. So that hebrew is completely diff. from mainstream Israeli hebrew. Anyway you're a sweetheart. Salam and shalom.

WONDERFUL TO SEE PEOPLES OF DIFFERENT FAITHS LIVING IN PEACEFUL CO/EXISTENCE. A BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION

What a beautiful place, this video kind of makes me a little happy for multiple reasons one what a beautiful village of our people, too be in German Jewish we always get what’s the word accosted harassed for not speaking very good. Hebrew most of us speak Yiddish German Yiddish not Eastern Yiddish, which has all the Slavic stuff there I barely can understand that, and then our dialect of German, so nice to see other Jewish people that for obvious reasons don’t speak very much Hebrew except for what they probably learn in synagogue services Shabbat services, now I don’t feel so stupid
Baruch Atah Yisra’el ❤️🙏🇮🇱
You really make Awesome informative videos!! A Fan from the US.👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.
Love learning about different Jewish communities!
