"We are all blinded to who we are" this is true Ted. But God is much more concerned in removing our blindness to see Him, not ourselves. God didn't give us new eyes so we could look at ourselves. He gave us new eyes, primarily, so we could look at Him.
Ted was born to missionary parents, who’s parents friends were eaten by cannibles. How come the cannibles did not try to eat him or his family? Was his family born again Christians. When did Ted become a born again Christian? It’s tragic that his parents friends were killed and eaten. This is sick in the head worped in mind insanity.
Also, Ted no where can you draw the conclusion that the blind man was blind so he could see the light within. That makes absolutely no sense. Also, Jesus didn't put mud on his eyes to represent that we are all born of earth and blind in a sense. You are not a biblical teacher. "I was born as a missionary kid so that I could discover the light within me...we are all blind so that we can see the light". Ted the light we aren't meant to see when unblinded is not the light of ourselves. It's the light of the gospel of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. --2 Corinthians 4:6. Stop turning the gospel into a man-centered or me-centered gospel about how God opens our eyes so we can see how great we are. NO, he opens our eyes to show us we are sinful and hopeless apart from Him. Read Isaiah chapter 6. Isaiah sees the presence of God in a vision and his response is "woe is me for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips"
"Let's not get into so much the plot because I hate when people spoil stuff for me..." Dekker: Okay. Then proceeds to tell the whole story of BOTH books.
Oh, no, Jeff Spencer. He didn't do that at all. With one of his books, it's not so much what is happening, but the how and why surrounding it. He makes me think! I love his books.
This man spends waaay too much time in his own head. He's complicated (maybe by nature of being a writer?) a very simple story of God's love for man-kind, the Gospel. Sometimes we complicate things because we (as carnal people) just can't recognize or receive the simplicity and totality of the Gospel. His words are those of someone who tries to "understand" and has come up with an "explanation" of his own rather than simply believing and receiving. God didn't tell us to understand Him (He knows we can't), He told us to believe, receive and obey - this is faith.
This is inspiring and encouraging!

Must be. The 49th mystic hasn't been out long.
Ted Dekker is an incredible writer. Currently reading/listening to White.
You are a being fooled by a liar, a cheat, and hypocrite who has cheated on his wife multiple times!
@@ABMcKeeDo you have evidence of that?

You are not the light of the world. Opps. I meant you are the light of the world. I guess Jesus was confused.

@@wisedyes You're right, but the light in us is not from us. It's from God. It is his light, not ours.
