Ed was a great actor did some great stuff, but he was just too much of a Bleeding Heart. A Bleeding heart was needed in his day in the 50s and 60s, but there's no need for it anymore.

James Caan was good in Godfather and not much else? The Way of the Gun and Elf came after this particular show, but Rollerball and Brian's Song were really good.
The one about the guy murdering 11 people, and getting disability is a real blood boiler. We need a constitutional amendment guaranteeing a speedy death penalty for all heinous crimes. Instead, the tax payer supports them while they buy motorcycles, stereo equipment, and has a wardrobe. What about the victims?
There's a reason why howard had him back over a 140 times on the show he was wildly popular and the majority loved him and found him hilarious. Not everyone finds the same things funny though so there will always be some who don't find Gilbert funny.
