$64k, now you get tons of offroad features and a warranty. But thats ridiculous. I think its time to just give us a rear locker and some clearance. The bells and whistles are nice, but for 64k, keep em.
I have tacoma trail hunter it's a torque beast i think you found out the torque it's got so much torque at just a idle that's what it's designed for not 0 to 60 times full torque at only 1,700 rpms 465 foot pounds of torque it's a beast it's not same as the ford raptor they designed a very capable tacoma in trail hunter i sure love mine good video
As someone that is tired of hearing your "butt dyno" doesn't feel 465lb ft of torque....I think you need to put your money where your mouth is. Take a hybrid and non hybrid to a dyno. Compare the numbers....show us a true review..
People trying to compare this to the ranger raptor is isane they are not even in the same ball park! The raptor is WAY more built up than this trail hunter. Look up the specs on just the shocks alone and see the HUGE difference! Or the rear axle on the raptor being over the axle tub reinforced from the factory! Im not even aware that any other factory truck on the planet has that! But i guess you pay more for toyota to get street tires? Or shocks on your seats with the trd pro and an unusable back seat?
@@user-fq3uh7bt1t it’s a lot more. The build quality is horrendous. They’re replacing parts after 400 miles. I have 1600 miles now. There’s all kinds of problems, including electrical.
@ roof rack violently shakes the vehicle on the freeway. Roof rack and sports bar poorly made. Bed is being replaced due to being warped and other issues. All the doors and windows rattle. The entire dash rattles. The center console rattles and is warped. Drivers door panel is warped and separating from the door. The front end needed to be redone. Electrical issues. HUD issues. Transmission just started to act up. 10 mpg. The quality control is horrendous, especially all the doors, interior and bed.
kinda tired of seeing cool test videos on these new toyotas and then going to the comments to compliment the truck and then only seeing people bashing the truck. Y'all, can ya chill the frick out? Let cool trucks be cool trucks, I can't afford one either but I'm not MAD about it
I wish my truck was this cheap! Driving a f150 raptor right now and a zr2 colorado. Toyota fan boys are just sad that these new yotas suck! Keep drinking that kool-aid! But hey you can get seats with shocks on them 😂
@@bengarcia1091 I'm not in the market for a newer truck and probably never will be, I prefer older vehicles for off roading for a whole host of reasons. I don't really care how capable vehicles are when stock because if I were to buy one I would be upgrading it anyway. The new generation of Tacoma has a lot of things I am not a fan of, but also has a lot of things that I am a fan of that are definite improvements upon the previous generation. Everybody always ranting about the price instead of looking at anything good about it. For window shoppers like me that can be pretty annoying since we aren't planning on buying one anyway lol.
Why would anyone spend that much on a midsize offroader? The ZR2 Colorado is more capable, gets better gas mileage, and is cheaper. Fans will say "Toyota has better resale value". I get that, but this is a hybrid and that battery will cause problems later/cost you way more during repairs.
Toyota has been making hybrids for 30 years with very good reliability; last company I'd worry about on that. It's also not that much to replace the batteries.
These are actually even cooler looking in person. But way over priced. Ranger Raptor, gladiator, or a built up Frontier would cost way less while doing the same off roading.
cool, but not $65k cool. Guessing not to many deals going on, so prob $70k plus out the door. and that's if dealers don't mark them up, which I bet many will. $80k for a tacoma anyone....lol

until you take it offroad and break something like the front differential and they dont cover it

MTS is also available in 4 HI, just different modes.
I came here to say that as well I have the TRD pro

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison was the first overlander focused midsized pickup. I’ve got it in the diesel version and it’s unstoppable.
Any issue with diesel engine or electronics, specifically the infotainment system?
It looks really good, until I consider the value proposition.
Ranger Raptor FTW
Can you share where this hill is located?
Texas 😃

I am not paying that kind of money for any kind of hunter, especially made in Mexico
My trailhunter is complete garbage and I’m getting ready to file the lemon law. 10 mpg is ridiculous.
Is it just the fuel mileage or something more? I looked at the new Tacoma and thought the build quality was pretty poor, especially for a Toyota.

@JohnDoe-nz6bk Sorry to hear man. Hopefully, you can get out of it without taking too much of a hit.
What's wrong with it

Saying it is more capable and better gas milage is quite the opinion
You mean the battery that is warrantied for 10yr/150k?
@@TheMikeshannon Exactly, When that battery goes bad after the warranty expires, it'll be a $13,000.00 repair.
@CowboysFanJosh from toyota its $2-8k

I’d buy a Gladiator Rubicon instead.
You need a more challenging hill if you can make it up in 2WD, 😀

Have you guys done a Titan xd yet?
Not sure I want to take a $85K Canadian truck that far off road. Beautiful truck but $65K USD???
Wait till you see sticker on a bronco raptor

You can get a Colorado zr2 for right about 48k right now. Still too expensive but it’s not 64k and with a nicer interior.
And it's a more capable off road truck!
ZR2 MSRP is just below $50k. They are doing deals on them so you can get them 10-15% off, so $45k easy.
$64k 🤣
Joint sounds terrible
Nailed it. Trail hunter tacoma is for trail use only. It's not a real off roader.
Bad driving on the obstacle
