Scripting, notice how usually stuff like that happens after a few win streak? The game keeps you at either +1/-1 to keep players retention span adake players play more, EA is well known for this stuff

Doesnt work when the scripting is against you, they suddenly become twice as fast.
If we move our defender to go for the tackle, opponent will immediately pass forward and there will be no more defenders to defend that striker.
That’s if you mistimed the tackle

@@shokpfeiffer623even if you time it correctly the scripting will mess up you tackle, i have seen many times when i defend suddenly my players dont reach them or come short or as if they it a wall
All of these tricks only work when EA isn't scripting the game.
That is what scripting is. It is when EA manipulates the way the game runs so you get frustrated with it and want to buy more players.@@reidjames4638

@@Brandon-rs3yr I get 18 haven’t gotten anything less than 16 this year but Right stick switching doesn’t always work and this method is useful sometimes, they usually run right through you
Try switching to other player with the r3 .. just flick r3 in the direction of the player u want to switch .. it will switch to that player bro n also i think there is a settings of r3 switching in the game setting.... Turn that on as well
I try this so much I’m good at defending I use the players who are infront of the attacker but the code always ends up scoring no matter what you do no matter if you had 99 defence the attack will always find there way though because the game is coded

I see lots of ppl just standing away with the striker and hold 1 button so the defense ai does everything alone. Thats not football, thats just no skill and bot play...

None of this will matter in a bad lagging gameplay. You cannot tackle and the opponent will continue sprinting pass all your defenders.
Also tell us how to counter it when we are carrying the ball
bro everytime i try to switch. it switches to another player all the way in another continent. i dont even try to switch anymore. i let them score 10 goals and save some headaches.
for example, when i try to switch player in front of him. RCB but switches to LB. specially when their wingers cut inside. i try to switch the CB but it siwtch to RB, that player is long gone and CB just walking to the goalkeeper saying hi and that causes the LB head to the corners side.
as former professional soccer player. we were never allowed to walk. why is these Midfileders just walking like they are walking in the park.
im not that bad. i used to win devision 1 easy but to lose in devision 8 10 goals to nothing when i have Hoaland and Christiano and. my mid field 88 to 91 rated players and my defenders are also 88 89 players.
plus why do players feel like they are on ice skating. on top of all that when i do get the ball then it just goes back to him

I don’t play against people who sprint like that. Unless it’s a counter attack from a corner or something. Sprinting in the back field or midfield usually isn’t a good idea. And most of the people I play know that as well.

These days players don't stay tackled though. The ball usually bounces back to the opponents team. Or turns into a through ball for them. Or it hits 17 players then bounces into your own goal.

i as a pro player not recommended this technique since it will open up more of your defence if the opponent decide to pass the ball

FIFA loves you, they always make me switch my player like 5 times before giving the right option. There’s times when the opponent and ball are going straight to a defender and they switch me someone off screen! And there is times when this same thing is happening and the game switches my player.
This cant be more true, scripted games

You Collect the ball only for it to end up back at the feet of another player
You have seen the examples in this video, right? If you go for a decisive tackle in such a situation, most of the time it ends up with your player.
In theory it makes sense, but the higher the division, the better the players, the more skill moves people use, this becomes worthless

Player might change direction when opponents approach, then ended up tackling empty air 😳
That is the whole point of this technique. You switch and go for the tackle, when the opponent can't change direction. They just took another sprint contact and pushed the ball forward.

Hey guys, my question is when I press on defense and the opponent is attacking instead of going directly to the opponent. My player moves away or opposite direction when trying to press and gives opponent wide open opportunity to score.

Yeah and then you don't sprint and they just use constant pressure. I swear this game. You can have the fastest team 33 chem going against a team 22 chem low rating. And boom lose every time. Why? This means the team with 22 chem should be slow not linked up and half the players are less than 3 chem. The team with 33 chem should pretty much link up everywhere 3 chem in every player which should maximize the given cham style. But no not to fifa. For some reason even if you have player high 90 speed is getting caught by people with 80 plus speed. Just a load of shit.

Fair question! You have to respect the potential threat of opponent's players in front of you. As explained in the video, if you just fully sprint forward, you might be vulnerable to a defender moving out all of a sudden. The closer you get, the more likely this can happen. So in that case let go of the sprint button. That way you are slower, but you have more frequent ball contacts which allows you to react to the opponent's behaviour. Watching his selected player is key in this!
I play beginner and amateur verry easy, put it on prof and I can't get the ball anymore... Most passes lands by the opponents, can't keep up with the speed, never ever am I close to tackle or take the ball... It seems impossible, think I'm doing something wrong!
