They just came off of a 7 game win streak, and realistically this should only be their 2nd loss all year. 3 blunders against Miami, Dallas and Tampa is difference between being 9-5, and 12-2. Clearly NE was rusty the first half coming off a bye, but Mac was lighting them up by the late 3rd quarter and it's quite evident the Patriots are far more complete than Indy. If we can fix our inability to stop the run, we are unstoppable.

When I played football in high school, my freshman year I got to see Nyhiem Hines run all over my varsity teams defense, the kid was insane. My dad and I have called it the "Garner Toss" because literally every play was a toss sweep to Hines and he would break away for a touchdown run every time he got the ball. He was also an amazing return specialist and its awesome to see him take what he did in high school and do it in the pros.

Running backs don't get mvps anymore. If Henry couldn't get one after last season I'm convinced it's impossible for a non qb to win mvp.
I would agree but the only issue I have is how can you justify not giving Henry the MVP last year if we are going to give Taylor the MVP this year. Henry had a historical season last year that was better than Taylor's this year but didn't win it. It just wouldn't make any sense for Taylor to win it and King Henry to have never won it.
@@iels7346 the colts are 8-0 when Taylor runs for 100+ yards. If Taylor doesn’t touch the ball enough the colts don’t win. Henry’s getting 20 plus touches regardless and the titans still might not win because their offense is so 1D
@@AK-sq1jl if Taylor runs for 170 and a touchdown the colts win easily no problem. If Henry runs for 170 and a touchdown the titans aren’t as much of a shoe in to win. If Taylor touches the ball the colts WILL win that’s the difference so far.

Being from Atlanta I thought the colts were going to pull a falcons, playing not to lose. Had Taylor not ripped off that run I think the pats would have pulled it off.
Taylor's not unstoppable. The Bucs shut him down afew weeks ago, so don't wanna hear that. The Patriots have no rush defense, the Titans ran for over 200 yards on them afew weeks ago. This is how the Patriots really look when they play a team that isn't decimated by injury. There not that good, and believe it or not I'm a Patriots fan, but a "REALIST" as well. I could honestly see the Bills beating us next week if there isn't Gail force winds.

From a colts fan, our teams are similar in so many ways and i really believe these are the 2 best teams in the league right now. Both teams are great in the trenches, run dominant offenses with a solid QB that can make plays when they need them, and an aggressive, high energy defense. This game came down to coaching and the colts were surprisingly the winners of that battle. I think this will be a playoff matchup and it will be another amazing game. Respect to y’all.
The colts Dbs play zone really well. Probably the best in the league. Jones had to make perfect throws for those touchdowns. I'm impressed by what I saw from both sides

I work with a Colts fan and I've been telling him for 2 months that if they make the playoffs, nobody is going to want to play them. Not with that running game and defense. Controlling the line of scrimmage is what wins football games and they do that on both sides of the ball.

As a Colts fan, I observed the same thing about the Patriots. It was like the bye hurt you guys. I'm sorry. And I felt really bad for Mac Jones, honestly. He was in VERY hostile territory as a rookie. I was hoping he wasn't going to get hurt. I just wanted a clean game. I really don't like the Patriots, personally, being an Indy fan, of course. But I absolutely respect them and never wish ill on the players.

The colts were physical af. Everyone on the patriots was limping by the end of the game.

I’ve seen clearly that it is so hard to play with a lead. The Colts tried everything to keep the Patriots off balance but we still give up chunks when teams have to pass to get back in the game. The difference in this game was we went to Taylor and stayed with him and it paid off at the very end. Huge win for Indy

Teams with a big lead are often told to let the opponent score to tighten up the games so the 4th quarter will have suspense. NFL is an entertainment first concept.

As a pats fan, I feel like we needed this loss. To be honest, with the amount of turnovers and penalties we had, we still managed to give ourselves an opportunity to win the game at the end. That really shows how good the pats are in hindsight.

That's what makes long TD runs great. Not as common as the past, but there's something about being in the stands and being able to see a run develop. There's a build and explosion.

To tell ya the truth. I have always seen Todd Gurley as one of the most overrated players of my lifetime. Before you jump all over me let me place my case. Gurley's offensive line was one of the best run blocking Oline's of all time. There is a stat that measures how much yards an offensive line gains for a ball carrier. In 2018 the Rams Oline had the best year of all time when it comes to this stat, at least since it started getting tracked in the 90s. Pair a brilliant Oline with a new run/play-action offense and with a good running back in Todd Gurley, you get multiple MVP mentions for the recipient. Now there's a reason why I said "good running back." It's because when the Oline regressed, and teams started to figure out Mcvay's scheme, Gurley didn't put up the same #'s. Compare his stats between 2018 and 2019. Massive drop-off.

They didn't have a competent qb. Mcvay was literally telling him what to do up to the time the mic cut off in his helmet. Offensive lines block. Running backs find holes and make people miss. Got a combination of both and you got something. There's only one or two backs in league history that played behind bad to ok offensive lines and still dude great things. Barry and Adrian peterson come to mind.
Imagine how many games that Indy lost that they could have won if they utilized Taylor like they did tonight. The guy is without a doubt in the top 5 best RBs in the game right now.

The Ravens game was rough. The Colts lost three of their starting Secondary and ended up sending out Practice squad guys and against a QB like Jackson, you can't do that.

As a Cardinals fan, it's safe to assume that I am very nervous about next week's meeting with the Colts. These Colts are dangerous. Based on the Cardinals inconsistency at home this year, they're going to have a long day if they don't fix that.

They were playing big nickel they was planning to give up the run at times they played with 3 safeties because the colts can spread you out with Taylor and Hines pats linebackers are to slow for them before the 67 yarder playing with lighter boxes and giving up 103 was a win for the pats the problem for them was the dumb penalties blocked punt where their linebacker forgets he is playing and leaves the guy unblocked and also jumping offsides on a play the guy who committed it had no impact on the play. The colts played great but pats came out like they was full of themselves and need this loss to humble them.

I originally started watching Colts games because of Michael Pittman Jr. (MPJ), but over time, this Colts team has grown on me. Wentz is an upgrade from Rivers and the defense with Darius Leonard, Deforest Buckner, Kenny Moore, and others, is a joy to watch.
But holy cow, Jonathan Taylor came in clutch this game. He just put the Colts offense on his shoulders and muscled in the win.
MPJ needs to not let his emotions get the better of him, regardless of whether he deserved to be removed from the game or not (personally, I believe 3 or 4 Pats players deserved to get booted from the game, absolutely disgraceful the way they ganged up on him, he could've gotten hurt badly). But knowing him, he'll learn from this and improve.

Mac Jones is honestly amazing!!!! I saw so much I didn’t even know he was capable of doing this game. His escapability, pocket poise. That throw off his back foot going across his body that everyone raves about when someone else does it. His speed on the run out! Not a great game from him or the Patriots as a whole by any means but he has definitely put the league on notice of his abilities. Bright future for him and this organization #Patsnation has a lot to look forward too with this kid.
Yeah I was surprised how good he was looking in these highlights, only knowing they didn't score in the first 3 quarters when I started the video.

@@jayy88 Yeah that’s called adjustments bro. He’s a kid and his ability to learn and understand the situation is really advanced for year 1. There’s a plenty of flaw in this game but he didn’t shy away from a really good defense and started to bring them back with his arm.

Not even close, just watched that game last night as preshow for this game at TH-cam. Payton was whole game down, only one time he went to the field when the score was tied. But this game definitely remained at old Colts vs. Patriots game, only the roles were turned around, Colts were throwing the ball and chasing the score and Patriots were running the ball and played hard and though defense.

As a biased Bills fan... I needed this to happened. I called it out after last week , to come back in 2 weeks and the story line will be shifted again. The Bills will be in 1st at 9-6 and the Pats will be tied for the Division at 9-6. As long as the Bills can avoid 50mph winds in New England... feel pretty confident in our passing game + our Defense. But rain + 50mph winds crush the Bills since we suck at running.

Patriots lost to a team that completed 5 passes…in a dome. 228 yards rushing by the Colts, 57 yards passing. Just got dominated physically and couldn’t stop the Colts from running it. this sounds oddly familiar.

I would love to see these teams rematch in the playoffs. I feel like the absence of Damien Harris really limited what the Patriots could do on offense and this game proves that a good RB is still important in the NFL. I'm a Pat's fan, but I also accept when they make mistakes, but a lot of Pats fans can't admit it when they screw up. They brought Harry in hoping he would be a premier wide receiver, not a blocker. He hasn't lived up to the expectation and once his rookie deal expires he's gone and may never play another snap in the NFL again. That's how bad he is.
