    I combine my active Zensor 1 with the preout of my NAD 3120 (3020) in a few days and I am really excited after listening to this sound system. I had also an amp Rotel 840BX3 some years ago and like this brand too because of its clear sound.

    Hello guys, please help me.
    I am planning to buy these speakers or Dali Zensor 7, but in this video, when a word having an "S" is singing it is too bright and harsh to ears? Am I correct or it is only me?

    • @polawo
      @polawo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh that is interesting you get that with the "S". I didn't feel it was too bright. If you have a big room I would go for the Zensor 7. I live in an apartment so I had to go for the smaller Zensor 3

    • @HristovPavel
      @HristovPavel 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@polawo Thank you for your reply.
      Well, the room is 18 m2, and I think I have currently two choices to make for an equal amount of money:
      1. Zensor 3 + Subwoofer
      2. Zensor 7 only
      The choice is hard to make at the moment, because I haven't heard neither of both speaker in person. In order to be able to listen these speakers, I should go to another city in my country, but that will be the next Saturday or the Saturday -7th December.
      I am really a bass fan and the most important is that I also like to watch movies and the subwoofer would be a nice addition.....
      But on the other hand, Zensor 7 may have plenty of bass , thus making the subwoofer obsolete.....
      P.S - I currently have an integrated amplifier Onkyo A-9010. I hope the amp could run nice these speakers.

    • @polawo
      @polawo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HristovPavel I previously had the Onkyo 9030 and it struggled a little with the Zensor 3s. So I swapped it out for a Rotel A10.

      @@polawo Hm....this is quite strange experience from your side. Onkyo A-9030 is 2x65W at 8 Ω, while Rotel A10 is only 2x40W at 8 Ω....
      My Onkyo A-9010 is 2x44W at 8 Ω....and the most important it is still the same class AB amplifier as the Rotel A10...

    I don't know what to choose for bookshelf speakers (Kef Q150) - Rotel A10, Denon 720 or something of Onkyo in the same price. Pros for Rotel for me: compact design, removable cable. will there be a strong difference in sound? Or choose by appearance?))

    • @polawo
      @polawo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I had the Onkyo A-9030 before the Rotel A10 for these speakers. I found because the speakers were 6 ohm, the Onkyo was not able to provide that power. So with the Onkyo you could hear it was struggling at the higher volumes so I sold it and moved onto the Rotel A10. However, the Onkyo sounded amazing with my other speakers which I tested that had an impedance of 8 ohms.

    • @polawo
      @polawo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I haven't heard that exact combination so I couldn't answer for sure. However, the Rotel a12 is a stereo amplifier where as the Marantz 7005 is a 7.1 channel receiver. Generally stereo receivers produce better sound so in this case I personally would get the Rotel a12. Do you have a hi-fi store near you? As the best way to check would be taking your speakers to a hi fi store and checking the KEF Q300 with both the Rotel and Marantz.
