10:14 Peugeot 505 produced between 1981 and 1990, between 1985/86 and 1988 there was a turbo Version parallel to the Citroen CX 25 GTI turbo from the same holding PSA Peugeot Citroen..
The diesel version was between 1982and 1984 suggested for New York Taxi Service not many were used…
Successor was the smaller 405 which is still in modified version in production in Iran. And for the stronger version the bigger 605 produced 1990 to 1998..
That Peugeot has a v6 version that's freaking cool
10:10 peugeot 505
06:45 the Renault 5 rally car there is rear engined.
@8:29 That is an Opel Astra. I live in England and have had 3 of the "Vauxhall" Astra GSi. Great fun with the original C20XE lump in them and surprisingly fast on the tight narrow lanes 😆
Edit: the gearboxes were dogshit though 😂 1 car ate 3 in a little over 14 months 😂
That audi is more like a wild beast than a toy haha
3:58 BMW M3 (e30 model) It has the S14 inline 4 16valve engine
Those Ford Escort MK2 use Cosworth BDA engines. (1600 1800 inline 4)
6:10 is an Opel Manta, not a top model. The top model has wide wheel arches and rear spoiler and it's called Manta 400 (also with Cosworth designed 16V engine)
9:50 Peugeot 505 turbo
The BMW vs Ford touringcar battle is the stuff of legends.
Can confirm, old BMWs are fun to fling around.
The renault R5 turbo, they took the motor out the front and put a bigger turbo 4 where the back seat used to be. Bonkers but fun
De Muro has a video on the V6 rear engined Clio.
The yellow car that got airborned is an Opel Manta as well
That cool sounding BMW is an M3, first M3, with an inline 4 cylinder engine.
Fun fact: Walter Rörhl preferred smoother UR Quattro (10:40) instead of more powerful but more snappy and less stable S1(7:10), especially in winter stages
You must have a "thing" with Opel Manta, you never recognize them and we have told you several times what it is.. HAHA!!
6.15 blue the amanzing Opel manta
9.36 yellow Opel ascona
I LOVE this kind of rallyes. In Spain, in the north, Galicia, it's wonderful !
Nope. 9:36 is also a Manta. (Well, basically an Ascona Coupe, as the Mantas were designed as such, but still)
@@Flamebeard0815 we are both wrong and we have both been right
Manta B. I had 3 of them in the 80s. Ascona is from the same time, but didn't see them in this clip
the LANCIA STRATOS is the spitfire of rally
the audi quattro was defo the best sounding car out the whole lot.
i dailey drive a 90s italian 5 cylinder turbo with 400bhp at the front wheels going through a 6 speed manual with a viscous coupling to put the power down. 3 inch catless straight pipe on a stage 3 hybrid Garrett t28 turbo technicks turbocharger. sounds just like the quattro. boy do the neighbours just looove me! 😅
will be doing videos on it july/august time.
9.50 peugeot 505
Audi S1 quattro ……forever young …..best of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
😂😂😂5 cylinders of symphony…
The older opels, bmw, fords, and Puegout . All have normal aspirated engines, induction sounds fantastic. Turbos sound muffled and just wastegate pop.
The Peugeot sedan at the end, is a 505, if you think that's rare, the DANGEL 4X4 wagon version is a unicorn, like your AMC eagle 4x4 wagon
8:30 This car (Opel Astra) was the main cop car back in the 90's in Hungary. I think they had 1.4 and 1.6 engines but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Yep, one of the most common cars in all of europe.
