    180 yards is about 165 meters for us, the continentals. Which you can achieve - given proper force and technique - with, let's say (just one of the many examples), an Okuma LS-8K/Shimano CI4+ rod-reel combo. Which costs a fraction of what you're using in this video. Furthermore, there are many other less expensive rods and reels which perform much better when extreme distances are in play.
    All of these beg the question: what exactly justifies the well over 1500 pounds price one must pay for a Basia X45X and the mandatory flagship Daiwa reel? And, for the reference, how come Daiwa, with all the technical might and loaded pockets does not have a real rocket launcher of a rod in their portfolio, capable of challenging the very best in the extreme casting game?

      Hi, the reel was spooled up with 12lb 0.30mm Tournament ST monofilament 👍👍

      Daiwa carp with a line of 0.25 would have reached much more, incredible launch with such a fat line. Congratulations
