Humbled Mr GT at your transparency today. You are not alone in the struggle. In almost all of the arts, artists who push to become the best they can be must wrestle with the costs to other parts of their lives. And that is why for many of us, we never reach those heights, finding the costs more than we willing to pay. I know you aren't looking for pity, but do know, we see you, and can empathize with the struggle. Music is the one language that knows no borders, it transcends all the divisions the world will throw at us....and that is why we so love being a part of this little community. Thank you so much.

Killer video as usual. Loved your reality check at the end. You should try Castor oil on your hands at night.Put plenty on. Rub it into your hands for a minute or two. put a wore out sock on each hand and sleep with it on for a few nights. Cheap, and it works on all body parts.I would be shocked if you didn't notice a difference after the first night. Thanks for all you give to us!

I had a Collings 290 (electric). It was an amazing beast. Played great, sounded great. Hopefully, it found a good home. I fell on hard times and sold it to cover rent.
Collings makes great instruments. Hoping to pick up a Collings acoustic in the near future.
    Happy Saturday!

Guthrie, had the DISTINCT pleasure of meeting your amazing mother at a bluegrass festival in N. GA this weekend, through some mutual friends. She's such a treasure and is so proud of you and knows the sacrifices you've made for this journey you're on. May you find someone who comes the closest to that level of understanding, and can meet you there. Cheers!

Hello Mr. Gut! I have a saved category for musicians that play exceptional guitar work on my TH-cam called “Next Level!” Trust me, you are all over that saved category. Your playing is so inspirational to me. I’m nowhere near your caliber of playing but I certainly do appreciate your playing! It’s beautiful! You guys are amazing. I try to incorporate some of the things you do in my playing (mostly at church) but also on my Friday night gig I do with my band mates and friends. Just wanted to drop a line. Have a great week!

You sound incredible as always! You might want to check out a Collings OM1A-JL. It’s based on the traditional line but essentially it’s a recreation of Julian Lage’s 39 Martin. The 11/16 nut and neck shape might appeal to a Tele player. And to my ears it sounds about as close to a vintage Martin as you’re going to get.

Guthrie, just watchin' & hearin' you play is always so inspiring to me!
Almost always, after your little intro, I'll stop the video, put ny phone down, and just play my (acoustic) guitar for awhile before finishing the video.
I can't wait until we can do an "immersion experience" together, lol.
"Best friends for life," i love it, can't wait.
I'll give you some things to laugh about, and some things to joy after, especially when you think about 'em.
    Just you wait an' see.
That's what my friends say, anyway!
Then there's a lesson! Sometimes the best part, but i get lots o' lesson from hearin' & watchin' ya play.
    Until sometime....
    👍👍👍

Love the playing and especially the "open strings". The hand problem is not uncommon and there are some massage therapists who know how to help with that. Duke Levine recommended a practitioner in western Massachusetts who was really helpful to my son when he injured his left arm from over practicing. The practice is in Housatonic, Massachusetts.

I know that in the past you shared some stretching exercises with us which is great but a good physical therapist can add a lot to your stretching routine. I know your busy but I think all of your followers would miss your hands almost as much as you would! I am thinking about you and want the best for you.
