The women even when they reject you they do it in a kind way unlike in the west. A rejection also does not mean you don't have a chance maybe in future. Women don't want appear easy. Also for Asian women look at older man as still possible. I seen guys around 60 with 30 year old women. The less picky girls are usually 27-35 years of age for older gentleman. Girls 18-25 tend to be picky just because they are young.

I know you didn't mean to point at the Thai lady but is consider very rude in Thailand.
Here are a few etiquettes in Thailand:
Pointing at another person with one's index finger or feet is considered rude.
Do Not Touch People's Heads.
Do Not Touch The Monks.
Do Not Keep Your Shoes On All The Time. Take shoes off before entering a Thai home and certain local businesses unless given permission.
Do Not Take Photos With Captured Animals.
Most Thais frown upon showing public affections expect maybe at certain bars and locations. Many Thais will avoid holding hands in public.
A person is responsible for their own happiness. Never let anyone intentionally drag you down. If you are unhappy take the time to reevaluate your life choices. Never be afraid of trying something new. Remember, amateurs' built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic.
There are plenty of women to date or have a long-term relationship with. Most of the women are more traditional with conservative values. Some of the women in bigger cities have more modern values but nothing like the modern feminist movement back home. Certain places in the dark side of Thailand you can meet women for a good time but not for a long-term relationship. These women are masters at manipulating men. They are plenty of videos on that subject available if anyone is interested. I call them my no fly zones and personally avoid those type of women and areas. Always stay smart and be safe. :)
One more thing when waving someone over do it with your palm facing down. Waving to someone with the palm facing up is consider a challenge to fight. Just another weird cultural etiquette. :)

It depends on where you live. BKK is more expensive than anywhere else. I suggest you check videos of Brett Dev, an expat who has been living in Chiang Mai. He did break down all expenses of the cost of living in Chiang Mai. It is very good and you can check it out. This video is "Can you live in Thailand on $1000/month?" It is very nice. I strongly recommend you watch it!

I like Krapao too. You may notice now that Krapao sometime it dry, sometime it wet, depending on the way they cook and the sauce they put in. Black sauce Krapao is kinda nice too.

Just fyi, it’s not just “Chinese new year”. It’s “lunar new year”
The rice growing cultures, like Vietnam, traditionally followed the lunar calendar (opposed to Europe going off the sun).
Lunar new year is literally the biggest holiday for China/Vietnam.
All the families get together to finish the harvests then celebrate/relax together for about a week.
Big thing here in Khon Kaen too, there's a lot of Chinese people here, I went to get veggies last year and had no idea what I was wandering into, full-blown Chinese parade and fireworks, needless to say, I didn't get to buy my veggies that evening, spent 3 hours filming and putting food in my mouth 😅

I think I should add if you plan on becoming intermate with a Thai lady you may want bring your own condoms with you from back home. If you have a big banana you may have trouble finding condoms there. You can order them online from Lazada or Shopee. Things may have change since then hopefully. If you have an average size banana you should be fine. Remember to treat the women gentle and with respect at all times. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone, its just one of those life problems you may face when considering becoming intermate over in Thailand with a partner. 🙂
