I tried many things to look "more masculine" (even a full beard), but where ever I go people almost always tell me "Hello Ma'am" (then realize I'm a man and apologize) because they don't actually look at the person in front of them, they just see a silhouette at first. And if this silhouette has long hair, it must be a woman. The fact that my hair is light blond doesn't help either. So now I no longer try to look "more masculine". I'm just me and I'm very happy with it. I don't sport a manbun very often (except at home, always low).
I actually think that males who have longer hair are almost always more attractive than guys with short hair, I think having a slightly feminine look can make a guy more attractive.
Well if you think about it. Take away all that humanity has built and we'd all be naked with long as fuck hair which I guess is how we were originally created... So it makes sense right?
daniel mejia so true my guy. Like straight or Gay it doesn’t really matter it’s a bun you don’t have to call it a “man” bun to justify it just rock it with confidence 👌🏻👌🏻
I think the mid or lower bun makes most people look bald from the front and that’s really hard on your facial features aka it’s really hard to pull off. I think the high bun really helps you look better.
I started last month to grow my hair out and man do I wish they come out nice. Ive used to have the top a bit long for about 5 years and my hair was just not a type you would find. I have literally searched everywhere for my type but nothing. My hair used to get really oily in two days is super straight and 100% soft. When I cut it completely last month it just didnt feel the same so I hope I can have it as long as you with it feeling natural wish me luck
Give me a suggestion, my hair length from top is below my shoulder. I used to make a top knot. Later back in Dec 2017, I saw your video **THANK YOU** and decided to grow my sides as well. NOW I want dreadlocks, what do you say?
Dreads take a lot of maintenance, and there's a social stigma around non-black people doing dreads. If you're willing to deal with that then by all means do you
Nice one. I agree with Aziq Auqil, don't do dreads unless you are fully committed because they are permanent. And if you don't like them it will be back to ground zero for you. Also from what you said, you like to change your mind (which isn't a bad thing) but dreads will limit that dramatically. If you are going to grow it out, commit to that, get to the goal, see how you like it and then make your decision based on that. I thought I wanted a lowered undercut but then decided I like having all my hair long too much so I decided against it in the end. But I had to reach my goal first.
If I could suggest a video topic, how about a video that talks about starting out at the gym. I was a bit sickly growing up so I haven't been to the gym since middle school🤕💀 so I've maintained a 135-145 weight for about 8 years now and am incredibly skinny. (Lean, but you can tell I used to be the sickly type) and the biggest thing stopping me from going back into a gym is the simple fact that I have ZERO idea of where to start, what equipment does what,... What am I supposed to eat. And I'd imagine I can't be the only one with this level of intimidation
That's actually a great idea. I started just doing home exercises with no equipment at all. I was thinking in my next batch of vids I'd do a push-up routine I started building my boobies with. What do you think?
@@slipknotfya look up starting strength full body program. Focus on strength and eating a lot and your gainz will be huge. U can gain up to 40lbs of lean mass in the first year of lifting and then if you wanna lean down and have a model look do that or if you wanna get bigger then keep going with increasing ur strength and eating a lot
This isn't man bun related for ideas but you said in the hair growth update 15 you'd like to do a video of things that people say to you when you're growing out your hair, I think that would be funny and relatable 😂

No way, as soon as I colour my hair = dead af. I absolutely LOVE coloured hair but I just can't afford to do it to my natural hair. I'm looking into grabbing some wigs though so I can live that fantasy when I want to haha.

This might sound weird, but, I feel I make pink look masculine in a strange way, I have a man bun, kinda look similar to Thomas, but, you are better looking and cleaner, and I think thats what it is, I will where a pink shirt, but, it will be tight fitting like you said, or I have cargo shorts on, or my skate shoes nullify the feminist side of the pink. My scruffy looking facial hair probably helps me out a bit too, I always look messy, but, not necessarily too untidy if that makes sense 😂
I love that. Adaptability is great and I agree, the juxtaposition of cargo with pink can tie it into a masculine look. Thanks for sharing this. Hopefully other guys here will take a chance on wearing pink now haha!
If you go back only slightly more than a century you'll find that pink was seen as a distinctly masculine colour. The whole "pink for girls, blue for boys" was only introduced by manufacturers as a marketing tool around the 1940s (so they could sell more than just white clothes for babies). So the whole thing is a con, really. And best ignored.
T. How about a episode where you cover the different colour variations men can wear, or maybe a shower routine about hot and cold water, as to how warm the water should and how cold it should be at the end.
Hey Sunny. I did see that. I'm still wondering why though ahhaha. You had it so long and awesome. Tons of the guys in this community would kill for that.
I'm 17 and in high school. I plan on growing a man bun when I'm done with school but I'm kinda scared about what negative comments people will make. There's always people who won't approve...

You are right! I think some of my hair has gone missing because of this. I'm properly assessing my situation before I talk about it but I'm looking into this now.
Oh dayum. That's ok, get creative and see what else you can implement for a more masculine look. Remember, you are a whole look and there are multiple things you can do to change it.
Masculine and “man bun” shouldn’t be used in the same sentence. 95% of men can’t pull it off and not say femininity or submissiveness. My brain, like many other men go into an automatic first impression judgment scoring system. Negatives are piercings, bad tats, grunge beard, penciled handlebar mustache, slipping pants, sandals, crooked or turned hat and prettied up hair .... like a man bun. On the other hand, if this is a communication thing and your intent to say “this is where I am”, you may have great success in attracting or repelling other mindsets.
Its alrite if yr gay as a badger and like stuff like that but if my girls saw me with one of them buns they would rip the piss 🤣 out of me howay there's nowt masculine about it
A man bun is as masculine as anything else. People need to get over the stereotypes. Women are shaving their heads these days. Do they look masculine? I know this is an issue for people but it's kind of a shame.
Umm no offense, but your man bun doesn’t look masculine ever. It’s not a knock on you as you look good and you rock the look well, but the masculine look requires far, far less polish and requires you to be rough around the edges so to speak. A big part of it is not looking like you care as much as you do, but in your case it’s always obvious that every part of your look is planned and arranged.
