This was the song I listened to when I lost someone very special. The voice of Madilyn makes me cry, I love it to much. The happy part of the song blocks out the sadness. Even though sad flows into my head more.
I remembered earlier today that you sang a cover of this song, and I've been listening to it for a while now, it's genuinely amazing! This is absolutely the best fem cover of this song ever!
I lost my friend/big brother type mentor due to his team making him suffer. Every day I'd watch him suffer the loneliness and absence of anybody to help him. Sure, I was there, but there wasn't anything I could've done to fix his problems, no matter what I tried. I sat in silence, despite knowing EXACTLY what he was going through, and did nothing. I was too scared to try help him, yes it seems silly, but I didn't want to overstep. Now, he's gone and all I can think is that I should've done something while I had the chance, even just comfort him. Now, we can't talk anymore, even though he ain't dead. This cover feels like my heart just trying to reach out to him, trying to make everything right. Before you go Lucas, please just tell me; Was there something I could've said to ease your pain? Would we be better off by now if I hadn't hid in fear? I'm so so sorry Lucas.❤🩹

I’ve had a lot of moments in my life, but now that I’m hearing this song, it’s all rushing back like a fright train. I’ve lost a lot of people and said things that I shouldn’t have. Having my best friends move away, and my friends being toxic towards me is not making it any easier. A lot of toxicity is going on around me. The only thing I wanted was for someone to ask me just ask me once do you need something? Are you ok? Is that so much? My parents say I’m doing well in school but I have to do that to keep telling myself that I’m doing ok and I’m not a failure. But in reality I’m pushing myself so that I don’t disappoint my friends who I already disappointed many times and my parents who work so hard for me. Thank you Madilyn for this song 💞
