If used properly, I think any children's toy can be manipulated for the audience to see it as scary. I genuinely find scary toys interesting because of this.
Man Frantic Factory would make such a wicked stage in smash, I imagine it would be the production room with rotating gears and pipes for platforms and boxes being shot out as hazards

i mean, he is probably that 1 DK64 boss that really stands out. sure you got a giant puff fish that you need to drive around for star triggers. or a literal armadillo with giant cannons (sounds kick ass, but execution is flawled tbh) or a dragonfly you fight twice aswell. but a jack in the box? menacingly jumping torwards you, shooting you with lasers, predicting where you'll go, yeah, he's likely the most memorable boss in DK64.
Mad Jack is my DK64 favorite boss, its theme isn't just creepier than the creepy castle, but his battle is the one which difficulty increases in the battle. Mad Jack becomes smarter and even begin to predict your next move, if you underestimate it, it becomes a hard boss.
also, it's AI starts with "the closer i am the slower i'll go" by the time you get to the final phase it doesn't have that anymore and just goes full speed at you regardless if you're close or not, to the point where you NEED to hop 2 platforms to outpace him, 1 platform is too slow.
This boss is the only one with an increasing AI, because the mpre hits he takes the smarter he becomes, he cam sometimes predict in which platform you'll go and accelerates if you try to move diagonally and turn back if you go under him and shoot his laser when while is charging his laser he can change to shoot it at the platform you'll go.

I can just see his mechanics being that there would be times where he jumps in the background on a random platform to shoot fireballs to hit you and lasers to make the platform your standing on blast up and you have to hit the according platform button on the actual stage to shock him and send him back.

Always liked how much more disturbing DK and Wario bosses could be compared to Mario bosses. Mad Jack was cool. Still have a lot of fond memories playing the game with my sisters and fighting him.

I always imagined a Smash map of Frantic Factory, moving trough the level, landing on the moving platforms of the place, dodging the toy boxes shooted out of the machine, the rotating platforms and the giant press at the top, with at the end Mad Jack appearing and attaking at the fighters as a stage boss.

This boss was too dangerous to control for even King K Rool himself, this is why Mad Jack comes out of the Reject chute before the fight. At least that's the theory anyways.
The true question is, why isnt there DK64 music in smash? The answer is probably because Rare got bought, but now that banjo is in, that leaves the question open. DK64 jungle japes is the best one in my opinion, since it keeps the more energetic portion going. And even then, things like Monkey Smash, Battle Arena, Mad Jack, and the K Rool fight theme all have their own senses and i would love them to be added in.
Nintendo still owns the rights to Donkey Kong music and games since the Rare buyout. Not sure why they didn’t add some DK64 remixes like this one when K Rool was added though.
