Oh man, I can't WAIT to have my Projection Orb cast a 1, 2 and 3 mana spell on turn 5!
To be fair, you can rewind into it later to get more value out of it.
@@christianloder8127 Yeah, but lets be real... Playing a minion to try and cheat out Orb early, when it won't do anything before you've set it up is not a particularly great strategy.
Even if you can Rewind or Tidepool Pupil it back later... You're not getting much over simply just not cheating it out so early in the first place.
@tarille1043 There are spells other than orb yall are forgetting sunset volley.
@@djharris6822 I know, I was just joking since Zeddy mentioned it as a use for the legendary
@@djharris6822 I'm not forgetting about them.
It's simply that Zeddy's clickbait title directly references cheating out Orb on 5 like it's some sort of crazy good play.
Important to remember that if you went first opponent gets no chance to benefit from King Tide if played on 4. Even if they kept the coin it would cost 5.
**Laughs in Druid**
@@tarille1043 They tend to like small spells, and the main big spell is ramp, they're gonna gain 3 mana crystals but skip their turn, giving the initiative back to Mage. Maybe they can come back if they don't die immediately to the Mage though, I dunno.
king tide is gonna be a major card in wild. it's basically a 1 mana cheaper version of loatheb, with the upside of letting mage cheat out some spells next turn. 4 mana is really good and basically forces rogue to skip their next turn entirely, which for wild is a huge deal.
Seems cool indeed, any idea of great spell to cheat out?
@@Dreadlash lpg comes to mind, but also rune of the archmage. hard to say since wild big spell mage has been so bad for so long. alternatively it could just be a rogue tech card for quest mage which is probably the worst timeline.
Galactic Projection Orb isn’t Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron, no matter how much you want it to be, Zeddy.
it does have a potential of not having an Aviana effect, but a Loatheb one, specially agaisn't rogue.
King tide is a 5/5 for me, its really like a loatheb effect, you can risk your opponent playing a big apell, but you should have a big spell to answer aswell, i think its no big deal, you make your opponents spells more expensive.
Did they really make wave from marvel snap or is it some old mtg reference?
In wild King Tide might be actually quite good. Most competitive decks use 1/2 mana cards (Rogue i'm pointing at you) so It can be a worst Loatheb while also allowing you to cheat spell like Luna's Pocket Galaxy. Idk i think he has a nice
It still looks bad because you need to set the projection orb up. It might be good with sunset volley and thats it
Most likely they're getting a new big spell in the expansion which might make it worthwhile.
But if you play it on turn 9 you could go sunset volley into sunset volley into orb
4 mana 4/4 loatheb is STILL good, like I expect this would see play in a deck without any spells tbh
This card is insane. Turn 9+ you play it, play a huge spell, ur opponent goes and can probably only play minions, and then you get to play two huge spells. 5/5, will warp mage around it, and we'll even run firelands portal because it's good enough synergy with this card.
King Tide will get real silly when you spit out two sunset volleys. 20 damage and 2 big minions.
King tide is super strong. Reminds me of loatheb shutting down your opponents spells except it has insane upside in the right deck. No one runs any spells above 5 mana and if they do theyre usually situational.
It's gonna be a pirate meta, most aggro in standard at least aren't too concerned with spells and one turn delay for spells isn't as impactful in standard as it is in wild - unless you have enough big spells to have drawn one by 5 for a big swing on curve. And that many big spells in a deck isn't viable if this is the only card that makes them playable in most cases. Basically, actually using this isn't easy, at least for mage... druid could be nasty
This reminds me so much of "Wave" from marvel snap tho
Definite punishment for most classes like Zeddy said, almost a Loatheb
Genuinely sounds like a fun Legendary.
Isnt this just Wave from marvel snap lol
This card on turn 9 followed by sunset vollet and the orb on turn 10 could be disgusting. The downside: it is a minion 😂
Mage going to be amusing if you can live to mid/late game
I mean, you talk a lot about the meta right now but with the neutrals they have shown so far. Pirate handbuff paladin is probably going to have a 70% winrate. Calling that now. And they are going to be so aggro it will not matter. You can put windfury on a charge minion. Sad for mage players.
Can I just say how confusing King Tide is aesthetically? It's got an Elemental in most of the art, we're used to seeing Mage Elementals lately, it's called 'Tide', but the card is actually the human dude and not the Elemental. Alright Blizzard.
As for the card itself, it does seem really good, potentially broken, but also weirdly polarized. If big spells are in the meta, it's straight-up bad. The deck counters itself, though I guess the answer to that is that neither player plays their King Tide. Could be awkward.
BIG SPELL MAGE SUPPORT LETSGO
How everyone forgot sun set Wally 10 damage face spell its be so good at 5 mana
Such a good card unless you're in a mirror matchup.
Yeah it's gonna be super awkward, even if Counterspell isn't a thing. The only reasonable option is for neither player to ever play their King Tide.
so, this is ALSO a druid card, right? is that terrifying? i don't know.
King Tide looks like Zeddy
Rogue players are gonna hate this legendary lol.
The art is fantastic
inb4 your opponent plays wheel of death
Can also be used in druid
Woot! Looking forward to this card
zeddy, c'mon man. Stop milking the card reviews! 8 minutes for one card? Don't know about other people but i don't want to watch any more of your card reveals if this is what you are going for ...
the issue with garotte/gnoll rogue etc, is that they already drawn 80% of their deck at turn 4, this needs to be a 2 mana 2/3 minion.
this card aint it chief what actual value are you getting from this other than yog in the box on 5 orb doesnt matter because you have only done max 2 3 4 mana spells seems like another overhyped card to me
legendary!
Mega bundleeeeeee
I SEEE YOUUUUU
Muzzle their magic
Turn down the bracket
:')
Other than as a nice “fuck you” to excavate, idk how mage is suppose to use this without getting absolutely bent or just be a vanilla at least.
Turn 4: King Tide
Turn 5: Sunset Volley
@@tarille1043I love hypothetical consistency.
@@vinnythewebsurfer I mean, there's other things you can do with it too.
Like cheat out Firelands Portal.
Or you play it on turn 9+ and you can use a big spell alongside it and the following turn cast 2 big spells (Like Volley and Orb)
He can also simply be used as a quasi Loatheb against things like Spell Mage, Miracle Rogue and Secret Hunter to increase the cost of their cheap spells.
We'll have to see what big spells Mage (And Paladin because Tourist) gets in the expansion to get a full idea of how useful King would be.
Interesting

It's loethab for both players... Why is he looking at this as a discount?!
Loatheb makes the spells cost 5 more. King Tide makes the spells cost 5.
You only play this when you have a big spell in your hand, if you’re dying against a rogue then yes you can play it just as a loatheb but that’s the worst case
Projecting much?

Like the card… but get possible nerfed
Hahahahaha bruh, you’re supposed to clickbait with GOOD ideas. Orb on turn 5 is a brain dead suggestion.
2 views in 16 seconds, Zeddy fell off c:
hearthstone needed more mana cheat...this is a well designed card
The think with this card... is it disrupts LOW cost spells.
Interesting
Definitely hoping for giant spells this expansion!
King Tide screws CHEAP spell decks though...
Hope mage will be more powerful in the next expansion
I am a comment
On one hand, needing to run a lot of bricks so that a "one of" can make good with mana cheat is not going to be consistent. HOWEVER, cards that mana tax players for casting spells see consistent play so it might see play regardless based on the tax, with getting an expensive spell discounted being an added bonus without having to overly flood your deck. I'm not a mage player, but if there is a way to tutor big cards that can obviously help with the ratio. With a tutor, this card could be a major all star.
There’s no good tutor for Mage’s big spells, at least not yet. PiP might change this, but at the moment the only way to tutor out Orb is Stargazing, which draws an Arcane spell out of your deck for 2 mana.
Of course, if you want this tutor to be consistent you need to exclude Malfunction, Arcane Intellect, Primordial Glyph, and Lightshow from your deck.
There’s also currently no way to tutor out fire spells, fel spells, or heavy costed spells, meaning you cannot reliably draw Flamestrike, Firelands Portal, Sunset Volley, or Chaos Creation.
What helps with consistency, is you don't necessarily need to bank on playing on curve to make it useful.
Sure a turn 4 King Tide into a turn 5 cheated big spell is good. But there are other opportunities to do silly things with him.
On turn 9 (Or anytime afterwards) you can play King Tide alongside a big spell. Then the following turn, play 2 big spells together. So you can for example curve King Tide + Yogg in the Box into Sunset Volley + Projection Orb.
Meanwhile, it's also worth remembering that Audio Splitter still exists. You can copy your big spells. So that prior combo can be King Tide + Sunset Volley into turn 10 double Orbs.
We'll see tomorrow what stuff Mage is getting to facilitate this and on Thursday we'll see what Paladin cards that Mage will have access to in order to see the full potential.
T3 coin King Tide will be the next coin mountain giant concede.
lul
Huh... This, might actually be decent for Druid thanks to their Tourist.
Currently they don't have much in Standard (There's what, Drum Circle?)... But in Wild you can play a 5 mana Alignment and pop off on like turn 3-4.
Meanwhile, there might be a non-0 chance that they get a new big spell a la Convoke the Spirits, Survival of the Fittest, Ultimate Infestation... A new Celestial Alignment...
They have the 6 mana ramp spell
Everyone hyping this up as a counter to fast decks with low costed spells need to calm down a little bit. Speaker Stomper has the same cost, and effectively accomplishes the same task of forcibly blocking spell-based combos. And it has the tradeable tag. And it’s seen zero use in control decks that want to slow down those decks. Where it *has* seen use is *in* those fast-paced decks, used to shut down enemy control tools. Except King Tide can’t do that because it slows yourself down as well.
Definitely expecting at least 1 other big Shaman spell this expansion to work with hagatha
Honestly even just punishing your opponent’s cheap spells for a turn can swing tempo
Why would you cheat out projection orb? Casting it on turn 5 just means, AT ABSOLUTE BEST, you're casting a 1, 2, 3 cost spell for 10(reduced to 5) mana.. So in the absolute most ideal situation, you cheated out 1 mana while giving your opponent the ability to do the same, or better.
Not saying there arent applications for the card, but Zeddy knows dang well that's not going to be a good combo.. he does this all day. I wish there were more HONEST HS card-reviewers left.. it's all clickbait and fake-hype these days..
Can you pls move up your picture by 1 cm? Seeing those two toes of the volleyball guy over your head freaks me out.. Im having a hard time looking at the cards xDD
Still appreciating your card reviews, like always. :))
Edit: typo.
I'd love to drop 9 manas worth in turn five with a 4/4, deal 6 damage on board. Draw a card. Oh wait that's just ultimate infestation but with 3 cards and barely any board presence.
You can cast The Galactic Projection Orb on turn 5! normally. You usually have 10 mana by turn 25.
I dont like mage, but this card is so good. You can cheat big spells, and your opponent cant play theirs cheep. 5/5
By the way, if you're first to play, you essentially stop the second player to play a spell on their turn 4 (including the coin)
Mix it with dj manastorm and voila.... Cheap ass mana barrage every four turns
Madman forcing an 8 min video off 1 legend lol
Its a bad card against Aggro decks that just swamp board with minions though
This expansión looks like trash, time to leave✈️✈️
this is so fucked in wild, loatheb for 1 less with upside
Turn 5 Sunset Valley could be nice.

This will be so broken in Druid.
King tide is crazy.
Thats a legendary????
Mage rullz !
Castro 8 druidi siellä
Wow
Sincerely is more like the Naga sea witch (which was nerfed from 5 to 8 mana). Doesn't seem at all like dark Aviana: doesn't give a free spell to opponent and is a battlecry.
Druid will try to use this for crystal cluster. The importance of playing the big ramp card on 5 mana vs 6 is huge. Its part of why nourish was taken out of core.
Thanks Zeddy! Keep it up.
Mage getting the BBL back!!!
PIRATE
The new cards look pretty cool
Projection orb on turn 5 will literally do nothing 🥱🥱🥱🥱
