When I was a young man I was fortunate to take the last ride out of the Birmingham train station on the Heart of Dixie railroad to Chattanooga on an old coal-fired locomotive I still remember that experience as a small boy the dummies that tore down the Birmingham train station should be horsewhipped
Been there, it's nice to know some effort is being made to save a piece of long gone history.
