    *This harkens back to* *_The tale of the Rotifer and the Mermaid,_* *a nursery rhyme dating back hundreds of cell cycles ago. When I was but a larva, It was one of my favorite books to have been read to by Mama Rotifer. It dates back to a time where a magical Rotifer wizard, Rotary Potter, casts a spell on the wicked Mermorvort, changing her feet into one big fin. To this day, Merfolk fear the magical qualities of us fellow Rotifers.*

    • @rickkwitkoski1976
      @rickkwitkoski1976 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hank and John Green were very early YT Science creators. PBS picked them up and they both do multiple roles. Henk also presents much of the science in Crash Courses.
      My wife didn't like his voice on CC and SciShow. The clips are quick and jumpy. But she loved "this person's voice! It is so soothing!" And then I had to tell her it was the same fellow that she DIDN'T like elsewhere.
      Go to the homepage of this channel and then click "Channels" to see all the related ones.
      Anything produced by these two fellows (now with PBS) is good! They have a lot of other very good presenters as well. And they have all LEARNED! Go back to earlier videos and see how "bad" they were then.
      Good for all of these people. They are making wonderful careers for themselves and giving us education and entertainment.

    "...something less animate: the wind."
    Interesting etymology there. "Animate" is directly related to "anemo-", the Latin root meaning "wind," which is directly related to "animal," a being that breathes, or has the "breath of life" in it. This is the long way of me saying that the wind is, by definition, animate. Etymologically speaking.
