This is the unfortunate reality of being a tourist in major European cities. As a general rule in Paris, if someone approaches you speaking ENGLISH it's going to be a scam. Have your wits about you and learn some French phrases to politely tell them to F**K off
I had the same thing happen to me, always ignore people that come up to you with a coin or ring!!

Like you could have made the most perfect clickbait by giving this vlog the title "Robbed in Paris?!" and putting your crying face as the thumbnail, but you're such a real person and you know people love you for your amazing personality and for who you are. (Can we also take a moment to appreciate the fact how you can always make yourself laugh even on little things? Your vlogs always make me so happy and they give me so much energy.)

My mom and I experienced this ring trick in Paris as well.. of course we did not fall for it, but it is apparently very common there!
What is the trick, I did not catch it? I will be traveling there soon.
Take a look at some of the scams you could encounter in Paris. In this particular one, a gypsy will drop a gold ring on the ground near you and say in ENGLISH (knowing you're not a local) "excuse me you dropped this" so you approach them to see what it is. This either goes two ways: They'll want payment for it or use it as a distraction to pickpocket you. Generally speaking if anyone approaches you speaking English, you can almost be sure you're about to fall victim to a scam. It's a sad reality. Take a healthy dose of scepticism with you and you'll be fine!
The reason that you cried is because you're empathetic - you can relate to other people's emotions, whether you have felt them or not. It's a great trait to have!

This is exactly why I LOVE you! I love your classy, ladylike style and elegance. You prove that being beautiful and sexy doesn't mean you have to wear super revealing clothing. To me, being stylish and elegant is way more attractive than plunging necklines and cleavage hanging out or midriffs showing. Some of the other influencers need to take a lesson from you. You're pure class all the way. You carry yourself beautifully, and your effervescent soul and attitude are as equally as beautiful.
Hi Lydia, why do you (always) call your vlogs something with "outfit.." even though that's not really the content of the vlog. I'm just a bit confused..
I could have called this "Attempted robbery in Paris" and used my crying face from the end of the video as the thumbnail. I keep my names in context with my the theme of my channel, they arent click bait but the video features three outfits I'm wearing at the moment. I hope thats OK xxx

Thanks for taking us to Paris. I was there in 1999 at the ripe age of 14 so no champange for me..this was also before the light show on the Eiffel Tower-- it just had a countdown clock to the year 2000. I was in London then and the London Eye was just beginning being built. So much has changed in both cities I can only imagine... my husband willbe DJing in England in August and I may need to tag along I believe Lacashire and or Buckingmanshire. he got booked for a 2nd show too!... Ill just stand in the middle of the city yelling your name haha. What is your favorite meal in Paris? ( and dont say Cocoa Puffs.)
