I feel very proud of the fact that I convinced my Choir teacher to teach our Choir class to sing this song for our upcoming concert. I can now take pride in the fact that I made 24 people unknowingly sing the fannon Fyolai anthem.
Commenting two weeks after the concert, we all totally slayed the song at our concert1!!1!1 I vividly remember the Choir teacher mentioning how she kept "Seeing pictures of gay men shipped together," and whilst she was researching the song and trying to get the right sheet music 😭😭😭 She is my favorite teacher because she's funny, and for once the class actually liked the song that she picked 🤩

This video has caused me severe Fyolai brain rot and so I'm gonna write down what is essentially an essay on my interpretation of what all of the lyrics shown in this animatic mean in the context of Fyolai!! Be prepared, it's a long one "Winding down our emotions"- being the fact that Nikolai believes that the only way to achieve ultimate freedom is to erase all humanly emotions from oneself "Family and friends becoming ghosts to dream of"- I think that Nikolai may have abandoned and ghosted past family and friends one he met Fyodor because he represented his liberty and freedom and how close he was to achieving it "And pass on time will erase, every face, every name"- how overtime he may have forgotten the people of his past, how they acted, how they looked, and because they were no longer important to his goal of freedom so they weren't worth remembering. Especially because later on Nikolai realized that in order to rid himself of human emotions he needed to get rid of those he loved and cared about "We are alone, no one to blame"- him realizing that because of these actions, he's alone (save for Fyodor) and how it isn't anyone's fault but his own "Bernadette you are my liberty"- like with the original meaning of the song(from what TikTok told me 😭), Bernadette(in this case Fyodor) represents his freedom, his liberty. In the OG meaning Bernadette isn't real whereas Fyodor is, but the message his still the same. Nikolai doesn't view Fyodor as fully human, just as a physical representation of what he wants to achieve "I celebrate the day, that you changed my history"- I think it makes sense that Nikolai would celebrate the day that he met Fyodor because he changed the trajectory of Nikolai's life I'm skipping a couple of lines because I either couldn't think of a connection or I couldn't put my thoughts in to coherent sentences lmao 😭 "But you have answers"- Nikolai believes that Fyodor has the answers to everything he wants. He believes that Fyodor knows how he can achieve his ultimate freedom and so he will listen if he gives him answers or tells him to do something because he truly believes it will get closer to what he wants "And I have the key to Bernadette"- once again, Bernadette(Fyodor) representing his freedom, him having the "key to Bernadette(Fyodor)" means that he thinks he can achieve his freedom Sorry for this longer essay of a rant😭 Like I said, I've been having massive Fyolai/Bernadette brain rot for the last 15 hours and I needed to dump all the thoughts somewhere and I thought someone in this comment section might appreciate it! day 41: today I had the weirdest class ever 😭 I don't know how to explain it well but we have to do this mini film and in my group the teacher was trying to show a part, an aggressive part of bullying, how our actors should perform and how the camera should work, in that scene and she told my friend to push her (it was in the script) and of course my friend didn't want to push too hard the teacher so she just did a little tap on her shoulder, and then we just saw the teacher fall dramatically on the desk to the floor, I couldn't help but laugh and then she had this backpack from my friend and she was like "try to get the backpack off me" the woman was strong my friend tried to get it off and the teacher was like "I won't let you" while she was on the floor 😃 that was so weird, I wasn't expecting it and I did laugh a little, me and my friends were just like: 😟😲😃😅🥲 a lot of emotions

This video has caused me severe Fyolai brain rot and so I'm gonna write down what is essentially an essay on my interpretation of what all of the lyrics shown in this animatic mean in the context of Fyolai!!
Be prepared, it's a long one
"Winding down our emotions"- being the fact that Nikolai believes that the only way to achieve ultimate freedom is to erase all humanly emotions from oneself
"Family and friends becoming ghosts to dream of"- I think that Nikolai may have abandoned and ghosted past family and friends one he met Fyodor because he represented his liberty and freedom and how close he was to achieving it
"And pass on time will erase, every face, every name"- how overtime he may have forgotten the people of his past, how they acted, how they looked, and because they were no longer important to his goal of freedom so they weren't worth remembering. Especially because later on Nikolai realized that in order to rid himself of human emotions he needed to get rid of those he loved and cared about
"We are alone, no one to blame"- him realizing that because of these actions, he's alone (save for Fyodor) and how it isn't anyone's fault but his own
"Bernadette you are my liberty"- like with the original meaning of the song(from what TikTok told me 😭), Bernadette(in this case Fyodor) represents his freedom, his liberty. In the OG meaning Bernadette isn't real whereas Fyodor is, but the message his still the same. Nikolai doesn't view Fyodor as fully human, just as a physical representation of what he wants to achieve
"I celebrate the day, that you changed my history"- I think it makes sense that Nikolai would celebrate the day that he met Fyodor because he changed the trajectory of Nikolai's life
I'm skipping a couple of lines because I either couldn't think of a connection or I couldn't put my thoughts in to coherent sentences lmao 😭
"But you have answers"- Nikolai believes that Fyodor has the answers to everything he wants. He believes that Fyodor knows how he can achieve his ultimate freedom and so he will listen if he gives him answers or tells him to do something because he truly believes it will get closer to what he wants
"And I have the key to Bernadette"- once again, Bernadette(Fyodor) representing his freedom, him having the "key to Bernadette(Fyodor)" means that he thinks he can achieve his freedom
Sorry for this longer essay of a rant😭 Like I said, I've been having massive Fyolai/Bernadette brain rot for the last 15 hours and I needed to dump all the thoughts somewhere and I thought someone in this comment section might appreciate it!
