That is a pretty good Shimmer. I bought this unit for that sound alone. The selector knob is faulty so I leave it on that setting. The demo is fine, but each reverb type could be best shown by a different style of music. For example, the Spring setting is great for Surf music, whereas it is hardly different from some other settings on this clip.
Hi. I've seen your comment on a few videos now. Can I ask what you mean by "broke"? The knob broke off? The knob rotates but the settings don't change? Thanks.
@@error404m Yes, the knob rotates but one of the settings disappeared, Cloud or Bloom, so I stopped changing from Shimmer because I liked that one so much & didn't want to lose it. Pretty soon, though, the whole unit failed. So I think this is a great chip that deserves better hardware.
@@markharwood7573 thanks for the clarification. I really like the sound, but yes the hardware is a bit weak (but understandable when considering the price). I'm kinda considering re-housing the unit actually.
