as an accordion player, Kass has such a special place in my heart it was actually the first time I saw my instrument being acknowledged that much, and in one of my favorite video game series and on top of that, he’s such a chill character that adds such a cozy vibe to the game. Every time I heard him far away, I stopped everything I was doing to look for him and enjoy his music for a few minutes

The first time I was made aware of Kass' existance, I could just barely hear it playing from the beach behind Hateno Village. It was like a siren call because I made several attempts trying to swim a bee-line to him from the beach, dying each time until I was just barely able to make it to a rock near him. He looked amazing up close.
Of course, real instruments give a way diferent vibe than "digital" instruments. There are a couple of video essays explaining the importance of the acoustic guitar in one Undertale song, per example.
Nintendo did this with Mario Kart 8 too. I remember a video of nintendo where they show a band/orchestra playing the moo moo meadows track and just watching it over and over again.
It's so heartwarming to hear him play Revali's theme, since of the four Champions, he's commemorated the least by his people and has no descendants. Nice to know Kass keeps his memory going!
Revali is probs the third least. What does Urbosa get? She doesn’t have a statue, a place named after her or anything. Only her legend lives on as a children’s tale, and Riju acknowledges her as an ancestor, but that all. Revali has the flight range, Revali’s Landing, and is remembered by all his people as being the champion that accomplished what all rito had thought impossible, and is idolized by his successor.
I legitimately want an accordion because of Breath Of The Wild. 7:00 is literally a masterpiece. I'm a string player and always have been, but there's something about the "flutter" effect (two reeds slightly detuned from eachother) and the tonal range of the instrument that nothing else compares to.
I agree, the main theme is absolutely fantastic and it fits perfectly with BotW meaning and place in the franchise. The whole record is legendary anyway 😂
I’m planning on running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with Kass as an NPC. If I ever do get to run it, I’m absolutely using this video! Thank you for making this.
It's so difficult to explain what makes these songs so great. The accordion is such a , for lack of better word, floaty instrument. Whenever I hear one, I just want to slowly wave my hands around in time to the music. It's a floatiness that not many other instruments can convey, and somehow it has so much feeling behind it, as if there were words that are supposed to be sung with it, sort of like someone talking but through a voice filter that makes it musical.
An hour ago I came back from a journey to France and now I'm listening to this music. It's so beautiful, I can't find any words for this. My biggest respect to the one who created this. Thank you!
I just discovered this video this week, and I can't stop listening to it! I'm going to cosplay Kass this Halloween because I just LOVE his aesthetic :)

Hi!!, i love your work here, i find absolutley amazing! Did you maked this like a studio recording? mixing the melody with the bass so they make music? or was all of the songs recorded with the same accordion? like, at the same time you played the melody, you played the bass too
Fun fact, in the game Kass doesn't have an accordion. Kass has a Bandoneon (which is only an accordion by technicality) which is a type of concertina. The concertina is INCREDIBLY similar to the accordion in how it works, suck air in through reeds into a bellow, press air out through reeds from the bellow. However, Concertinas are way smaller, and have only buttons, as for accordions are bigger and have keys and buttons. The size of the Concertina and Bandoneon (also known as Tango Accordion even know it technically isn't an accordion) is a good size to fit inside of the human anus. This makes the concertina the perfect weapon for if you get pissed off at somebody.
