when I was a little girl I had a picture that you could add foil to colour it in. you peeled off the top and it was sticky underneath and you would rub the foil on the sticky part and the colour would stick. it was one of my favourite things to do as a kid and this card brought that memory back to me. I've taken the negative before and used that on a card. Just trimmed it up a bit and put it on a base directly or like she did in the video and did a pop up on the top. You can also do what sweetboo1022 said as well, just depend on what you're looking for.
It's easy to find fountain pens with thin nips or ball end nips, but almost impossible these days to find good quality, expensive calligraphy/broad tip fountain pens and using a quill isn't practical. Could you recommend any great pens for calligraphy?

I know people who have had success foiling with a laminator, but when I tried it I didn't have as much success. I find the Minc easier to use since it's made specifically for foiling.
This one wasn't perfectly centered, but I fixed that when I trimmed it before adhering it to the card base. But yes, a lot comes with experience and practice.
Stephanie Luke I don't have much practice, so I just find the middle of a word, write that first, and then it ends up fairly centered (when it's not cursive, of course!)

Thing I'm not really a fan of with the cursive lettering is the "R's". I know that's how they are meant to look but I just think that it doesn't look very good, the darker line is not part of the letter and t just floats to high for my liking. I don't know why I just don't like it.

You can use a regular laminator machine. Much cheaper than the Minc. I think I paid around $20 for mine and works just fine for foiling.

Stephanie Luke it can help to start by using very light pencil lines as guides. Then before you know it you won't need the guides as much!

My pen when I got it had wayy too much ink in it, and everytime I go to do anything, it spits out more ink. Did I get a dud?
You might just need to use it for a while and scribble out all the extra ink?

erm... i have some question though... does this method only works with this marker brand or other black works fine?
Ukiringo Freeze it needs to be a marker that has toner fluid in it, or is made for foiling techniques.
