Awesome, Bro! Love the song, and I love messing around with E Kits and accessories. I have built an Alesis DM10 Pro kit into a full on Tama Acoustic Kit. It's not perfect.. but it's pretty killer. The beautiful looks of an acoustic kit, but with electronic drums. I can play as loud or as soft as I want... and not get thrown out of the house - or the neighborhood! LOL I'm not a drummer anyway. But it's fun. You've got some cool accessories here. You totally rock, Brother.
That sounds so sick!! I wanted to do something like that back in the day (definitely not quite as cool as what you did, though) when I owned an acoustic kit, but ultimately ended up selling the acoustic kit. Glad to own an E-Kit now, cause you're certainly 100% right about the noise...haha! Drumming is a lot of fun and I can play daily now, as opposed to only when loud noise is acceptable. And always, thank you for your kind words, take care my friend, I always enjoy reading your comments!
I'm thinking about buying the Titan 50 to plug it into the aux with my Simmons sd 1250 to use it as an expansion for the 1250. Just seems easier to do it that way. What do you think about doing this? Thanks for your time on this 👍
That certainly could be a fun project, so would you use both racks or just 1 rack? I think the Titan 50 and sd1250 have different shaped racks/mounting brackets as well, so that could complicate things.
I'm not sure if the Titan 70 is the same as the 50, but if it is, the problem with the 50 is that in the module, none of the cymbals can be dual zone. The toms however, in the module, can all be changed to dual or single, even though the pads themselves are single zone. So I swapped the cable from one of the toms to the cymbal, now the module can send 2 different midi notes, one for cymbal hit, one for choke in the vst/drum program. Additionally, with the expansion pack, when you plug in the extra tom and cymbal, if you plug the cymbal into the tom input, that also works for dual zone/choke, whereas the extra cymbal input on the module only does single zone. It kind of screws up the stock presets on the module if you use those, but I don't very often so it wasn't an issue for me. Hopefully that all makes sense and helps with the Titan 70 as well. How do you like the Titan 70 by the way? It looks really nice!
@@JROID I can try that. All drum pads on the 70 are dual zone, even the cymbals. Ride is triple zone. So I'm not sure if swapping the cables will make much difference. But you never know lol
@@jasonberkers2142 I just looked up the Titan 70 manual, the ride is indeed triple zone as you said, however the regular 10" cymbal pads are single zone, they're the same ones that the titan 50 has (model TSCYM10SC). Now a plus to the titan 70 module is that it says both expansion inputs are dual zone, so if you have an extra TRS cable, you could also plug your cymbal(s) in there as another option. Since the actual tom pads are all dual zone on the Titan 70, if you swap cables with the cymbal, you'd actually be making them single zone, unlike on the Titan 50, where the pads are single zone, so I wasn't losing any functionality. So I guess you have some decisions to make/try out, but it should work. Let me know how it goes! See, the issue is really just the module, they should have made it dual zone capable with all the cymbals, even if the pads were only single zone (like they did with the toms on the Titan 50). It would have future proofed it and prevented any issues for the users.
@@JROID wow I didn't know that. So I would need two trs cables, and plug both cymbals into the expansion ports, and not use the cymbal cables that came with the kit? Btw, I extremely appreciative your help here bro, thanks so much for taking time to help me out 👍👍🤘🤘
@@jasonberkers2142 In theory, I believe that should work, but again, I don't have a Titan 70 to test it out so if you don't have any TRS cables around, I would test it first by just plugging one of the tom cables into the cymbal. That way you can see if it works before buying anything. Just be careful with your cables though, pick one that has plenty of length, don't want to break anything. And no problemo pal, glad to help if I can, hopefully it works out for you. Also, I probably don't have to say it, but just in case, if you end up buying cables, make sure to get TRS, not TS, it's an easy mistake to make.

Hey, how did you get the chokes to work? I've the Simmons titan 70. Been trying for awhile
