That knife is too funny, right down to the details (the upgraded steel with partial serrations)… you can tell quite a few people had a lot of fun with that. (Also pretty funny that Benchmade takes their custom work so seriously that they asked Nick for permission, lol.). The knife community is filled with a lot of really great people.

Coincidentally, this video popped up the day after I finally completed the Thrifty Thursday winner collection. The collection consists of (in order): Opinel No. 6 Carbone Ontario Rat Model 1 Aus8 (olive green handles and stonewash blade) Cold Steel Tuff Lite (dark earth handle) Kershaw Cryo Tanto (stonewash/blackwash) I have to say that the Tuff Lite and Rat are my two vacation folders (not including a Milwaukee Fastback Compact). Thank you for helping me get so far in this hobby. Your reviews have taught me so much. Without you, I might have gotten into collecting watches.
Benchmade Mini Barrage is my favorite knife. It’s was my first real knife and I got it in blue and stone wash from Warriors and Wonders with a limited 200 in that color. Made me feel special when cutting rope lines at work out on ski hills. I think they just order from custom shop bulk. Since gotten more Benchmade knives. Wish I could get a full Benchmade in red. Could swear the option was available a year ago but since disappeared.
You’re a lucky man to have so many people care for you. I’m sure you’ve earned it and are a great guy but that doesn’t always mean that it’s returned. Don’t ever take it for granted as it’s not an easy thing to have.
There is a Herman Knives folder in my future... for sure. I became aware of him via one of your IG posts, Nick. I appreciate your comments regarding his continuous improvement, listening to users. That's a winning trait.
I noticed Nick,that the Omega watch you showed had a second hand that accurately hit every second mark perfectly,so it can be done and shows that other watch purveyors need to step up to the plate and get it right....................................
The Benchmade customizer, on its own, is a beautiful thing... I wish more companies (at lower price points) would offer the same exact services. I understand why it might not be efficient / effective from a profitability or production standpoint but....... if Gerber can swing it, so can others. P.s.: I should not be able to make a Gerber Fast Ball as attractive as I can using that customizer.

Dude, I just went through a backpack that's sat untouched for probably a decade... and found an old Z Hunter in it. Was immediately ashamed of myself and intrigued to play with it and see what I missed.
I'm surprised you didn't mention a pen. I work in an office and it's the only piece of my EDC I can actually take out of my pocket and use without getting fired. You'd be amazed how many meetings/lunches/etc you go to where no one has a pen except the crazy EDC guy.

Has Nick ever commented on exactly how this pickpocket took place. How exactly does someone pick pocket a knife? How could you not feel it considering clips actually have tension? I mean I can understand a wallet or something like that but a knife and how would they even be aware it was worth their trouble? This story has always confused me
If I knew exactly where it happened, I could tell you. But I was walking around on the strip, and this is a knife with a very smooth clip. Returned to my hotel room and found it missing.
If the (highly accurate) youtube videos I've seen about it are correct (leave it to the algorithm)... It's not about doing it without the person feeling. It's about creating more obvious incidental, and awkward contact, to hide the smaller contact of the wallet, watch (or in this case, knife.)
