Gel sacks and deep shrooms can be generally found in the deeper and darker biomes. Both of these resources can be found in the the deep scary place you were previously with the long light blue tendrills and veiny ground. And be sure to plant the gel sacks in an exterior growbed so you dont have to farm those again.

Absoloutely. Same goes for the Shrooms and every other organic crafting component that is required frequently.

0:45 No not "nothing", there's another little PDA laying right there on the floor inside that broken off base piece. It's funny that you were talking about "did I miss one?" and then you found the one in the locker, but still brushed right over the one outside when you came out again for like the 5th time :) I've forgotten if it's particularly important to the gameplay/story or not though so I don't know if it's absolutely necessary to go back for.

Propulsion Canon can be used to cast away the toxic hanging stingers plants so they don't disturb you anymore.
Check the broken airlock of the Jellyshoom base, there is a PDA in it.
The Water filtration machine will be a life savior for you but it requires a lot of power, so you better build a bioreactor in your base, even more if you have more than one battery/powercell chargers full of empty batteries to charge at the same time and during the night. Don't forget to replenish the reactor regularly with fish or other biomater.
Water filtration machine gives you two bottles of water, each worth two desinfected water bottles (4 standard water bottles) and two salt deposits, useful to cure fish. All you need to do is give it some time and power.
The stuff you lose stays where you die, so you can fetch it back but it requires you to remember where you died and not to panic over again.
Yes, going deeper is required to finish the story. There are some cool places downthere.
Those different variants of fish are not the same, they are special variants, acustomed to a given biome, don't forget to scan them to know more.
Animals with green pustules are ill.
Get off him? Technically, in English, vehicles are mostly female especially boats, subs, ships, spaceships and aeroplanes.
The Jellyshroom cave has three entrances if memory serves, one is almost directly above the base on the bedroom module side.
Sand sharks can hurt you but their teeth are too small to hurt Goose (you can still damage the sub by hitting them directly), contrary to Bone sharks which can chew on a Seamoth easily and won't hesitate to do that if you get close to them.
Your song works fine, it seems to be a more childish version of the Litany of Fear from the Bene Gesserit Sisters in Dune. "I must not fear, Fear is the mindkiller that leads to obliteration...."
Gels sacks can be eaten but only in case of emergency, they are more useful to craft aerogel. And you can grow them in growbeds so you don't run out of those, just like the shrooms.
You noticed that your foundations are bigger/offset than the base modules. Put your exterior growbeds on the foundation, alongside your base modules, for easier construction and access.
Seamoth torpedoes are a waste of recourses, they are difficult to use (slow and difficult to aim) and they must be replenished often. The perimeter defense is better but draws from the powercell a lot.
What the sonar is for, mostly on the Cyclops, helping you to see the terrain in total darkness to avoid attracting some creatures.
My Seamoth is usually feated as follows: two storage boxes, on the top of the sub, not on the side, the depth module (and its upgrades) and a Defense perimeter generator. Hull reinforcement can also be useful to avoid taking damage by colliding with smaller creatures but the defense perimeter is so much more useful. If you use the Seamoth in shallower waters with less nasties, the solar charger upgtrade can allow extensive excursions near the surface, and recharge by daylight. Engine efficiency module is nice to have more autonomy but if you have a base nearby, it's kind of useless.
What I NEVER put on a Seamoth: Engine Efficiency, Sonar and torpedoes. Solar charger as well because I prefer having more space for storage as I'm not that much of a fan of the Prawn Suit for small ressources prospection.

Told you you would benefit from the Jellyshroom cave. And the scanner room. :)
Just wait til you discover the PRAWN though...
And fun though the coffee machine is, you'll probably find the water filtration system more useful. (Scanner room and water filtration do up your power needs though - so a bioreactor is probably in order.)
Some of that lithium should go into reinforcement panels - especially since you have an observatory (pretty, but they weaken the structure a lot.).
And then that modification station ... use that to upgrade various things you already have.
Good to see you having fun, and enjoying being a bit further down. Once you've got the upgraded depth module, you can see the next Degasi base.... *anticipation*

  • @Narco.Trafficante
    @Narco.Trafficante 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The sonar is the best thing in the game. Turn off Goose's lights permanently. Headlights attract creatures, especially the ones that live in darkness. Secondly, dont make the torpedoes they're useless and a waste. Save that slot for the seamoth automatic solar charger when you find it in a random databox. Next, deep shroom is DEEP. It's about west of your base and 1000m away roughly, in a deep, dark trench called the bloodkelp trench. Sounds scary, but only visually. Plus, you have sonar now, so it'll be super easy to find even at night. I recommend you use the prawn suit to explore it because of the depth. Positive side is deep shroom is not at the bottom and nowhere near far down 😂 When you get to it, knife it and grab it, then knife the blood kelp plants and gel sacs there too so you can grow them at home and you'll never have to go back until you're ready to go to the bottom to continue the storyline down there *hint hint*

  • @Prantass
    @Prantass 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Lovely progress! You should definetely build the modification station for some upgrades.
Also, you did miss one PDA at the jellyshroom base, it's right inside the broken entrance.
The most reliable source of power for the base is the thermal plant, just set it and forget it. It's a bit tricky to build the network but so worth it, I could show it to you since my base is basically on the same spot as yours.

Take some seamoth, prawn and cyclops driving courses AND STOP BANGING YOUR BASE WITH GOOSE! You will break both of them and flood the base!! Good Lord, woman!
The bio reactor and other reactors can only go in the center of multipurpose rooms, as well as other pieces. Maybe build a big room?
You can find gel sacks near to Lifepod 19 area. But beware, water filtration machine will also take a huge chunk of power producing water and other goodie.
Plant gel sacks and other underwater plants in exterior grow beds. Place them near the glass corridor. The creepvine seed clusters will light your base VERY GOOOOD VERY NIIIIICE.
Do you remember when i told you, you took the wrong turn and went in the wrong neighborhood? That's where you can find deep shrooms.
ANNNND, if you wanna escape 4546B, you will need to go down a bit OVER three times as deep as that third Degassi base.

One idea is to take brain coral samples with you and make farm beds and plant them in the beds wherever you are going to be outside like the jelly shroom caves. Then you'll have oxygen almost everywhere you need it.😉

  • @htewing
    @htewing 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Head back to Keen's lifepod and look around for gel sacks. You can also hit them with your knife for spores (3-4 each, I think) and plant them in an exterior growbed at your base so you never have to go hunting for them again.
If you go a little further out from said lifepod, you'll probably find deep shrooms. I'm replaying again to time capsule hunt (for reasons) and I'm pretty sure I spotted (and forgot to grab some) when I was near there last night.
(Farming is good!! You can use creepvine seed clusters to plant creepvine with seeds; when you find big red bois you can plant those to get more of those (I think sven said where to go for deep shrooms, you can find them there) etc. I highly recommend taking a cutting of e v e r y plant/fungus you find, because you never know when something might be useful ;)

0:45 0:46 seconds you can see a PDA in the hatch. Light can be the reason why people can miss a pda. If you scan the stones it'll tell you what resources your can potentially get from them. If you've repaired the Aurora you can leave that radiation helmet behind or trash it to save yourself inventory space. Deep shrooms are located in the blood kelp forest and most people go to the mushroom forest big tree for gel sacs but there's other places to find them.

Word of the wise, the degasi plot line doesnt lead to the end of the game but it does lead to usefull blueprints and resources that will be needed, and its good practice. It helps players get a sense of how to survive the deeper you go, and if you want to complete the game, going deeper is the only way,the PDA update you got when you went into the giant gun should have provided a signal of where to go, getting there though, your gonna need gooses mama if you want to go down there. For the gell sacks I believe there should be some in the biom bellow the floating island, when you get one build underwater grow beds to grow them so that you don't need to go looking for them

With the Seaglide, you travel more or less at 10 meters per second. So, with the high capacity oxygen tank, you can travel 1350 meters in a single breath.
Maida's story is a bit misleading. Led to Jingles slaughtering many stalkers until he realized that killing them and ripping their teeth out wasn't how you do it.
The only circumstances where you abandon your craft is if you're certain you'll die in it. Example includes a destroyed Cyclops (If you're inside the Cyclops when it rolls after being destroyed, you're dead) and a prawn suit that's falling into the void. In other cases, Get into the craft and haul ass, it's not worth losing the upgrades because unplugging them in a hurry costs precious time you won't have. Don't watch Goose get chewed up, jump in it and run, not all hostile mobs will chase you.
Ah yes, the Gel sacks. Don't worry, you can plant them.
Hey, Lana, how do I join your Discord?
The sonar is good up to 225 meters in my experience. Careful, however, because you cannot ping it forever. Each ping uses 1 power, and since a power cell only comes with 200 and the seamoth needs some of it to function, use the sonar sparingly. It's very helpful detecting wrecks at deep and dark biomes. An extra power cell will help.
How to get deep shrooms in your position; head to Second Officer Keen's Lifepod, and see where the chasms go deeper. Once at the seamoth's limit, jump out and go deeper to perhaps 350-450 meters. Deep Shrooms should be accessible at that depth.
However, to go deeper you'll need stuff that's made in the Modification Station. Prioritize that.

Here we go, part II, only minor editing from here on.😅
0:50 Remember what Marguerit said about the urin in the last PDA #3 (19:15 in the last video, I think)?
1:03 You have been avoiding the jelly-tentacles like a pro until now, made me think you might have encountered them before? Well now you got nettled.
1:47 That is so inevitably British: Getting nettled and excusing yourself for it!
"Oh sorry Mr. Toxic-Tentacle-Plant, I am inconsolable stricken and heart-broken to have touched your stingy surface and incorporated your precious venom!" 😂😂
2:12 Is this your first death from oxygen deficiency? The rebreather helps you to use up less oxygen below 100 m. But you got that now 😊 >> 5:15
Here is a plan: Whenever you are down to half your oxygen, think of turning back to wherever you came from. Just a split second think about where you are, because naturally you would need about the same amount to go back exactly where you came from.
So half time check is a good idea to have in mind. Later you will not need it that much anymore, but it's good as a safety feature.
Same with batteries, if they are halfway down, think about where the next one is and what it would take you to get there.
2:17 I can hear that sigh all the way over here. And that is a lemon face! 🍋
There is a lovable guy, who I would like to quote: "When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager!" (Who remembers the guy?)
But at least you got from lemon face, to "virtually impossible" (2:26) and "I'm not gonna be able to..." (2:35),
over "I might make it" (2:48),
    to "we're gonna do it!"-chant (3:16).
And all wonders, you did! 😊
6:54 Big words here. Circle of life. Nothing wants to hurt you, it is just their place at the moment. You will fully understand what he is saying in the end. *fofofoforeshadowiiing*
9:13 Yeah I told you, there is one more base down here, but you need to get a depth module for Goose first, so don't bother at the moment.
12:28 You need lithium to enforce your base structure. Preferably on the 45° walls of the multipurpose room or on pipes because you cannot add more tubes there, just windows and hatches.
14:42 What is that laughing? "Heeheeheehee!" 😂🤣 That's new! Are you conspirating?
15:44 That adds to a question you had earlier about seeing things that could be scanned. Unfortunately, if you don't have a specific tool in your hand it often does not show you anything.
That's why, also in Below Zero I only enter those spaces with a light and a scanner and switch quickly between those two to visually see and then to see, if anything is to scan, hoping I don't miss anything. But even though, I still miss things occasionally...
21:55 Honestly, that was funny! "Why is it THERE? In the slot it BELONGS?" 😂
But you realized it quickly. The only down side is, that it does not give Ou distances, but you can figure it out by swimming left and right and from the parallax effect guess how far it is away. And the scanner room only goes a certain distance. You could upgrade it, but I think it is better to build a second base somewhere, that you would tend ro be more often later in the game. I have some suggestions for that if you want to know, because there are certain places you can go further into the map, that would make sence. But in the end it is your game and I won't spoil anything, because you are doing all fine right now!
28:18 I must be honest, I played the whole thing without shooting even a single torpedo. Idk why, I equipped it pretty late and thought the torpedoes are expensive resource-wise...
I always repaired and replenished my health after encounters and that was it. I may have stunned a few creatures later and swang my trustful energy blade a few times, but never shot at them. Not even a test shot. Did not seem appropriate after visiting a certain... laboratory.
The sonar, I found this especially on the Cyclops later, it took about 1% of my energy for each scan. That was a bit much to keep on constantly, so keep that energy thing in mind if you go on further journeys, or take an extra energy cell for Goose.
Anyway, if you want to, you can get rid of your old radiation mask, that only takes up space in your inventory. I mean... Thats four more ingots you could carry.

To get deep shrooms, and to go even deeper for more ultra rare resources, you need to get to the Blood Kelp Zone by heading southwest starting from your rescue pod.
Your next destination should be the Lost River, which is a deep cave system that you can access from entrances in the Blood Kelp Zone.
Here are the specific directions towards the Blood Kelp Zone and Lost River:
    Initial Direction:
From the initial rescue pod, head towards the southwest direction, aiming for coordinates approximately (-700, -120, -900).
    Entering the Blood Kelp Zone:
Navigate through the Grassy Plateaus and Sparse Reef biomes until you reach the Blood Kelp Zone. This zone is marked by dark, eerie kelp and glowing blue-white bulbs.
Finding the Entrance to the Lost River:
Within the Blood Kelp Zone, look for a deep trench or crevasse leading downward. The entrance to the Lost River is located in these depths.
Alternatively, you can also access the Lost River through the Deep Grand Reef. Head to coordinates approximately (-635, -500, -942) and look for a large, deep cave entrance.
