I love square enix / squaresoft games till now. They all make games with beautiful music and good story.

Square makes good games without wasting millions on high fidelity graphics - so they can release a lot more games and not go bankrupt.
Internet humans are not the only people that play games. Just because twitter isn't talking about these games - doesn't mean they're not being enjoyed.
I'm sure if square rendered pores, eyelashes and muscle deformations, reddit and twitter would be more opinionated

Glad I wasn't the only one who is totally stunned by their decision making process. They put out forespoken and it flops, and exactly one month later they put out octopath 2 and it does pretty well. Then they come out and say "we need big blockbuster games and less smaller games!" Then they put out ff 16 and ff 7R, and that underperformed. What is their strategy? They feel too big for their own good, and every success has another failure they can't manage.

Their blockbuster games underperformed due to being tied to ps5 exclusively. Not many people are buying ps5. FF7 remake appeared on both ps4 and ps5 and sold extremely well. FF7 rebirth and ff16 on the other hand were both on ps5 only which was a detail they overlooked and didn't realize. Forspoken bombed due allowing the west to completely alter the original game and turn it into the failure of a game that we have.
