Definitely the best whip tutorial so far- great attention to detail, showing several different areas, levels of difficulties and explanation of other keys involved, killer job BrOthå.......should get a equipment series- like pads preferences - who wears what and why! Keep up the good work~ way to set it off Mike🤙🏽✊🏽❣️
I got to know you on Scotty's channel and loved your riding. I found out late you started your own channel, I was subscriber no. 1626, though very happy to be here. Also, thank you for this how-to tailwhip! We asked for this and received! Love your stuff Fede!
Thanks bro! I appreciate the kind words! Its ok, I'm still getting the hang of this filming and editing stuff. I will always try to deliver to you guys. Thanks again!
Brian Crosta I can do basic fakies I can bunny hop high I can double tire ride but 180's... Barspins... 360's... The basics we need to know to do those high lvl tricks
I almost broke my ankle trying tailwhips, Sometimes I catch the pedals with my right foot, but I am left foot foward, the last time i committed to ctach correctly, I landed on my foot, the pegs helped to sprain my foot, that was trying on fly outs, I'm afraid to try again when I get better
You should try replacing the handlebars with something for will it ride. Maybe wood or PVC pipe? And great video! Tail whips are my favorite trick, and I want to learn them. This video will help a lot thanks!
Love it, man! Great tutorial! I haven’t whipped in years (like 12..) and wish I’d have had this type of video back then to learn (still have the scars!)! Keep up the #fedeos 🙌🏽
Thanks bro! Its good to hear you're still riding. Yea its great to be able to reach people and have them take something from this and learn something new. I always tell people to watch a few how to videos of different ways to do it and take something from everyones info. Thanks for the support man!
Fede bro keep the videos up they are awesome really appreciate the time and effort you put into them love the will it ride episode can’t wait for more same with the tutorial vids especially since I’m learning how to ride. Keep it coming bro subbed and liked your videos
thanks man! I hope everyone can take something from this. I recommend everyone to look up a bunch of how to's on tricks and take what they can to make it work. Thanks for all the support! :-)
To fede, been subbed to Scottys channel since video 3, nice to see you getting your own thing going. I think u should remove ur tire tube and fill the wheel with tennis balls
Blake Hall wow! That’s so awesome you’ve been following that long. Thanks for the support and following my channel. I appreciate all the support and suggestions 🤙🏽
Hey Mike! Excited I found you on your last video! As you can tell, I'm now subbed. Great How To on the tail whip. Would you do a whiplash how to if that's something you're comfortable with? I've been talking with others and it's not a trick seen in videos often and it would be great for some of those ready to try it to have a how to video. Thanks Mike!
Mike you should make it noticed that you have your own channel next time you film with the Scotty Cranmer crew as I am sure lot of people will sub to you I only found your channel buy pure chance, awesome stuff. You should do a how to lawnmower next.
I’m definitely trying this, I broke my wrist doing a 180 over a spine, I’ve wanted to try tail whips for a while bf I broke it, and bar spins, your next how to should be bar spins 🤙🏻💯
Use lowrider bikes like banana seat or do bar spins with ape bars or a springer front end on a oldschool bmx bike or a mini crank on a bmx bike like lowrider bikes have
i learnt tailwhips fly out first i've done whip airs downwhip airs whips over boxes out of banks on banks on hips all i need to do is a hop whip just so much commitment is involved tho
I whip the wrong way, in 20+ years I ballrode two, haha. But I always wanted to learn downside whips on banks. I just never can get the bike back under me, but the times I rode away I had done a few no footed cans first, I haven't done that trick since 2004 haa. I really don't do too many tricks besides grinds, wallrides, pools (FDR is 8 miles away) and weird jibs.
I can do all the whips etc but when it comes to bunny hop whips I can seem to land them! The allyoop whip I love always have think they look and feel amazing
I can’t get a good enough pop for hop whips and when I get somewhat in the air, I get a decent kick but not much arm rotation before I land back on the ground. I can whip fly out but that’s the only way I can tail whip.
Hey man! I'm a huge fan of your riding that I've seen on Scotty's channel. How well does knowing the motion/feeling of a footjam tailwhip translate to doing an actual tailwhip? Does knowing how to footjam whip first help?
Hey! Thanks for following me and liking what I do. As for the tail whip; yes I really think it does feel a lot the same with the movement in the arms and foot sweeping. I was thinking about doing a how to on foot jams and a variety of variations as well as the foot jam whip. Thanks for reaching out!
Maybe give a heads up as to what how to you will do next, and we can comment our trouble areas before you make/finish the video. Also great job breaking down the nuances on the tailwhip.
Will do! Do you think it would help if I announce at the end of a video that I'm doing a how to on a specific trick and tell people to comment their main problems so I can direct more info in those areas? Thanks for reaching out and giving me that info!
Mike Fede That's what I was thinking. Maybe even do a pole, To see what trick/s are the most requested. Good how to's are hard to find. Keep rocking it!
for me its easy to roll out a whip flyout when the bike lands first and im just slamming onto the pedals. but when i want to catch the bike in the air its soo hard for me to get the backfoot on. (regular whip)
Thank you for promoting helmets and even giving helmets away! It's an important piece of equipment, just as important as the bike. I feel old these days because I'm always screaming about safety because we didn't have much as kids. LOL Not calling you old or anything but I'm just a couple of years older than you.
Thanks so much for that! I was once dumb and didn't wear a helmet, but after a bunch of concussions and friends having severe brain injuries from not wearing or wearing the wrong kind it heavily changed my mind. You're not old because you encourage a helmet, you just care about doing what you love longer, and about your wellbeing for your own or family sake. The brain is the only thing that can't be reset. Thanks for the ongoing support!
Mike Fede I was actually on my road bike late one evening finishing up a 90 mile bike ride that day. I have always loved all the different types of bikes. Anyway, I was literally in front of my house and going really slowly to cool down when I hit a patch of really fine gravel and went down hard. I tore myself up really good and I had a headache but no signs of a serious concussion. I picked myself and my bike up and went in the house and when I took my helmet off, I had a piece of helmet the size of a grapefruit busted clean out of the side and temporal location of my helmet. Now of course, the helmet I happened to be wearing at that time wasn't a BMX helmet but I kept that helmet for years and years and when I came across it about 4 years ago again, when I saw neighbor kids without helmets, I'd pull it out and show it to them. If I knew who their parents were, I'd stop and show it to them as well. Within one summer, almost all the kids in our neighborhood had helmets and were wearing them. It was great! Those kids are still wearing helmets to this day. I think sometimes people need to see what can happen before they "get it." I have a few pretty banged up BMX helmets as well
Highly amusing. As a BMX rider from the mid 80's wouldn't it be both amusing and informative to try today's tricks on a bike from that era ?? I am sorry John as you may experience some difficulties. Great channel BTW . Good luck 😉
I think a person who rode there a lot passed away and that being the place they were mostly at, the friends held a memorial for them. Sad but awesome to see how much they're loved.
I really struggle keeping my legs elevated, last time I properly tried whips I didn't get my legs up and the bike came round, hit me in the leg and it pulled on my arm and I dislocated my shoulder, any tips would be appreciated!
Aiden Palmer keep trying. When you hop and whip it around kee your legs up and aim for your front foot to get on first. The back foot will follow and make its way to the pedal. I’m glad these steps could help some. I always tell people to take what’s they can from advice and use what works for you. Good luck man!
My issue with tail whips is I do them oppo. I kick with my front foot, can't even get the bike more than halfway around. Tried using my back foot like I should but it's just wrong.
DINO IDEAS you want to kick with one. Foot and have that front foot out and ready to catch the pedal. The back foot will follow and make its way to that back pedal. You got it!!
Mike Fede how do you combine the kick with the hop and get the other leg over.. all I could get today was hopping and doing a no footer and land next to my bike.
how do you keep your feet off the ground after kicking ? .. mine immediately comes to the ground with no delay.. If I suck my legs up the front wheel hits my leg and the motion stops or my feet just come back down harder.. can anyone help figure this out?..
You should change your name to Mr.Fede(think boy meets world and "the feenie call"). much love and respect. 🙌 (edit; for clarification i meant your TH-cam name)
The best tail whip tutorial yet! Thanks Mike
I don't ride anymore @ 48, but you sure are a good teacher. Good luck with this channel and keep putting these "Learn Its" out for the youngins.

Great job, lots of great info
just found your channel and subbed! still remember your first appearance on scotty's channel.
Hey Mike! Excited I found you on your last video! As you can tell, I'm now subbed. Great How To on the tail whip. Would you do a whiplash how to if that's something you're comfortable with? Spray foam in the tires instead of a tube. Always wondered if you can make it home on this
Great video Mike can you do turndowns for your next how to
I whip the wrong way, in 20+ years I ballrode two, haha. But I always wanted to learn downside whips on banks. Mike Fede Thanks man, and i'll never give up. Try until you get it!
Use a bunch of card board and put it like around the rim of your wheel for will it ride
mike you should do a video about how to back flip step by step like this video plz
Badass mike
I can’t get a good enough pop for hop whips and when I get somewhat in the air, I get a decent kick but not much arm rotation before I land back on the ground. I can whip fly out but that’s the only way I can tail whip.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe even do a pole, To see what trick/s are the most requested.
Good how to's are hard to find. Keep rocking it!
I think it would be cool if you tried to use ratchets for crank arms :)
for me its easy to roll out a whip flyout when the bike lands first and im just slamming onto the pedals. but when i want to catch the bike in the air its soo hard for me to get the backfoot on. (regular whip)
You taught me to whip. Can you do a video on 180 I can 3 but can’t get out of 180’s. Mind blown
What is the bike carrier on top of you car called?
Hii Mike. I'm finding it hard to kick out from the hop. I can swing around and land. But the kick is my problem
Thank you for promoting helmets and even giving helmets away! It's an important piece of equipment, just as important as the bike. A how to ride ramps like querters, jump box etc.should be nice.
Still not dissapointed :D
haha yea keep it up mike~!
Highly amusing. As a BMX rider from the mid 80's wouldn't it be both amusing and informative to try today's tricks on a bike from that era ?? I am sorry John as you may experience some difficulties. Great channel BTW . Good luck 😉
Good ole DEEN skatepark
Replace grips wih powerbars. Brand endorsement on point.
16" wheels on a regular bmx frame?
Will it ride, fill tubes with water
should do a "Will it Ride" with 16 inch wheels on a 20 inch bike
What is the music that you used at the beginning of your last video
I have that in the description :-)
You could do a game of bike with the tyres filled with water.
Nice ..ima get one tomorrow now.."david bell + taco bell = bad smell" hahaha
will it ride? wooden stem
use a garden hose for grips and can you teach how to ride a spine
You should use ratoter hose will it ride
What’s up with all the crosses in the back corner of the park, did someone unfortunately pass away there?
I think a person who rode there a lot passed away and that being the place they were mostly at, the friends held a memorial for them. Sad but awesome to see how much they're loved.
And do a video on how to fakie for long distances..
Pool Noodle hand grips
How to 180/FAKIE, easy views.
I keep doing death whips and going forward and crashing hard I have a few clips of it lmao
try water in tires👍
I really struggle keeping my legs elevated, last time I properly tried whips I didn't get my legs up and the bike came round, hit me in the leg and it pulled on my arm and I dislocated my shoulder, any tips would be appreciated!

I just cant wrap my head around the motion of the kick.. how do u hop and get your foot over and kick all at the same time?
DINO IDEAS you want to kick with one. Foot and have that front foot out and ready to catch the pedal. The back foot will follow and make its way to that back pedal. You got it!!

Jay Hatt thanks for the support!!
how do you keep your feet off the ground after kicking ? .. mine immediately comes to the ground with no delay.. If I suck my legs up the front wheel hits my leg and the motion stops or my feet just come back down harder.. can anyone help figure this out?..

Great video Mike! but that intro music is hella loud :)... How to manual, or easy tricks for noobs...
Man Vs. Bike lol sorry if it seemed loud. The audio levels were ok on my end. I’ll be doing some others like that here soon.
Does anyone know what skate park this is?
Aberdeen skatepark in MD
You should change your name to Mr.Fede(think boy meets world and "the feenie call"). much love and respect. 🙌
