Hey there, can you tell how to remove the windscreen wiper and access inside it because i just recently bought this model and when i wash the car, the water enter from the windscreen wiper gap, some say it maybe due to water blockage that lead to it be rust and made the hole. Can you give me a video for that? thanks in advance. And this e23 is a great car.
IIRK there was a performance chip installed. Pretty sure I included the stock one when sold to the couple you got it from. Did you track down the oil leak and what caused it to overheat? T-stat?
I believe it still had the chio, because it pulls pretty good. the tstat was stuck closed. haven't found the oil leak yet. thinking it's the timing chain cover
Kameron Baker I was hoping they didn't damage the oil pan. Only other thing I could think of is maybe the rack or the power steering may be leaking. Though I didn't have any those issue when I had it. I didn't have it very long. I know it sat for a long while with previous owners and it was very oxidized in areas. K, figured but thought I might have to remove cam to change that seal out but from your vid doesn't appear so. good. thanks. I'm chasing high RPM & wavering Idle too on my M30, no luck so far: ICV valve checks-out OK, new O2, new temp sensor, new Temp Switch, tweaked throttle plate, Idle Position sensor checks-out. Next: Control module :/

when you replaced the seal is there a guide to put the distributor rotor mount back in the same place?
It has a slot and only installs in one position.
Before you replaced the distributor cap did the car ever have any driving issues like jerking back and forth?

+Sean Buckman ya it takes some prying a flat head screw driver and an automotive pick will help you get it out. but No need to pull head or cam
